Why when a survivor leaves, killer gets points, but no the other way around?

I think this one is retarded... why are devs all around their baby killers that they need to have everything.

This also hurts survivors as hell... i get in the game, save two people, get 1 gen up and i am soon to pip up even without escaping, and then the killer rage quits and i am 2k points out of pip upping

Why dont we get like 4k points in survival if killers leaves...

Because before they added the quitter bonus, the Killer would almost certainly derank if one or two Survivors decided to quit, which was quite common as at the time no-one would lose a whole rank as punishment, that was added later. The quitter bonus was implemented to prevent the Killer not being able to pip anymore or only with much effort.

Survivors on the other hand don't get any Survival points when a Killer deranks, but get all the points they achieved before he quit and also don't lose a pip if the points are not enough to pip. When you managed to get enough points to pip anyways, you'll even pip.

yeah but if they have actually a pretty good started game, like they worked together etc... and then the killer decides to RQ because he is getting rekt by survivors... we get pusnished aswell for playing the game? that´s ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... we should get points for killer leaving... i just lost 2 pips on rank 7 because 2 killers left in mid-game and i had not enough points

and now i just got -3 pips because game crashed and it counted as if i left... so i just lost 5 pips in 3 games for nothing... love this game

prob, like what do you mean? the game is stand on the thing that one survivor is equal to 25% strenght of the killer...

u think it´s okay for killer to randomly leave?

If the killer leaves the survivors get "rewarded" with their current points and they dont lose a pip. If ONE OUT OF 4 survivors leave he cant get the points from chasing him hitting him and hanging him anymore. He HAS to get some points for it.

Currently there's a bug where the killer leaving makes a survivor lose a pip(Hasn't happened to me, or I haven't noticed because I'm rank 1 and can't see my pips but meh apparently it's there)

On topic, the bug is being fixed and it's being changed so the killer ragequitting grants points(If you've finished the gens)

You don't lose pips for a disconnecting Killer. Even though the animation in the scoreboard shows you losing one for having not enough points, you actually don't lose one. The pips in the top right corner where your rank's shown won't change.

At least that is how it's supposed to work and how I experience it when I have a DC-Killer

Its a new bug they introduced in this patch, it used to be fixed but now you will lose a pip when a killer DC. (Happened to my R1 survivor, now im R2).

anyway they said they will reward survivors when all gates are powered and Killer DC on stream

Really? Haven't heard of that bug yet. Well that's pretty annoying, but it hasn't happened to me so far and I've played Survivor several times since the latest patch and had one or two disconnecting Killers

dude thats wrong, it was like that, but it´s bugged... i just lost 2 pips... like the game started... killer instantly left and i lost a pip because the game was already there... sometimes it just bugs out and i loose a pip anyway and cant do anything about it

thats why i said we need to get survivol points when killer leaves mid-game

thats also a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... why all gens have to be up? if he leaves in mid game when u are like 2 gens to win it and all survivors are up? you should get rewarded anyway

thats like saying if killers hooks 2 and the next (third) guy leaves, then he will get the points

we should get points any time... what are we supposed to do when we cant get 10k+ points before killers leaves...

or making him if he leaves... the game will be albe to played until the end, just with the killer standing still

that would fix it
