Bad teammates on Generators

So something that has been bothering me a lot lately.. is when my whole team goes to the generator im at to "help" me. And hey.. if you know your ♥♥♥♥ with the minigame.. im glad to have you help me. But recently ive had teammates that hop on the generator to help me and ♥♥♥♥ it up within 4 seconds... and the killer proceeds to go after me and in most cases when im unlucky with a lack of obstacles.. downs me. If you know you are ♥♥♥♥ at fixing generators, then spare your teammates and find your own generator please!

It's not "bad teammates". I've been put into matches with all rank 1s... and they can and will still miss it at times. It's not a rank thing. Or a good or bad thing. It's a Murphy's Law thing.

Hell, I miss it on occasion. If you're honest, chances are it happens sometimes to you too. Maybe you're distracted by a sudden heartbeat. Maybe your phone rings. Whatever.

Hey, it still happens (altough rare) to me and I'm rank 6... probably related to the fact that I play at 20 fps.

I mean sometimes people make mistakes, I have literally had the skillcheck spawn ON the nick and have me fail. Also sometimes the game will spam a lot of skillchecks at once, one time I repaired a generator and got 4 skill checks and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the second one which also for some reason set off the other 2 in the span of 2 seconds.

However there are people that no matter what blow up the same generator 4 times while the killer is hooking someone, at that point I usually just leave and find another one across the map and wish them the best of luck.

If the killer is off hooking someone it's entirely possible that they're blowing it on a nearby generator INTENTIONALLY to try and bait the killer away from the sacrifice to attempt a rescue. I've done that with some killers who've been shown to camp. Works... sometimes.

If I'm working at a generator and someone comes along and instantly blows it up I just walk away and leave the generator.

90% of the time they are newbies that don't have any killer detection perks so they're the ones that get caught.

This is also something you can do, but fast vaulting a window/pallet works better, you can do this near a generator to make the same kind of alert but without screwing the generator progress

I hate when you're going to leave before it's done, so you wait till a skill checdk pops, to do that real quick then stop, figuring it won't pop again, but it's like the infinite chain of popping, but you already let go. Work work work, skill check, let go, skill check, EXPLODE.

Its called "Survivors" not "Teammates", if they want to ♥♥♥♥ everything up for you for their own good / satisfaction, they can.

Egad. I wouldn't do it on a generator that had any real progress. Nor would I do it had I not just recently started fixing one and noticed a nearby hooking. It's one of those "moment of opportunity" things.

I also find it can work a bit better as bait (though still obviously hit or miss), because it seems a little less like it's intentionally baiting the killer away for a quick rescue, and more like you messed up and are ripe for the picking.

I've been on a gen that was almost 70% done, and then two survivors jump on and "Help" , two real quick check fails who double spark, and wow the Gen is at like 15%

I just booked it outta there.

The good part is that you still get the points for the work you did.

people make mistakes even the "legendary rank 1's" ♥♥♥♥ up gens from time to time

that said sometimes its just due to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, like when i decide to stop fixing the gen to do something else it just randomly blows even doh i didn't fail any check jump back on it again instant BOOM

the trick to getting off a gen without it sparking is to tap M2 before getting off, hope that helps you out
