Killer FInding Me straight away. Is it a hack or just skill?
I have played a good few games now and found have had what I would call normal and fair games and then ones where the killers on a few just seem to know where you are right away. It's not as if I'm running either. I have literally sat in a bush before the killer came, heard the heartbeat, then he turns up and walks DIRECTLY where I am, seemingly looking at me the whole time and hits me. I had one game where a killer literally knew where we ALWAYS were, for the entire team, was going up to us and knocking us down then leaving and knocking another down somehere else on the map. However he would always leave one to heal the others, but then he would always find you as soon as you were on your feet. It was as if he had supermans X Ray vision X 1000. I have had varying degrees of this sort of behaviour over a few games. I find once a killer like this finds you, they are on your tail and never lose you. Now I get you can track survivors via a trail they leave, maybe I need schooling on that as when I'm a killer it seems pretty hard to dechipher as well as these guys seem to do it. however back to my main point, this is ridiculous if you aren't really leaving a trail and are sat still in a bush waaay out of the way.

In conclusion. Am I missing something from the game here? Are there things which let you see survivors from a good while away and never lose sight of them?
Are any killers using hacks? As when I am one, I'll kill one or two, but I don't seem to be as quick, or as good at tracking.

There is a perk that lets the killer see player Auras up close. If he heard you working on the generator or heard it revving more than last time he knows you were nearby; if there were no big run scratches then he knows you are still there.

Basically you're getting spotted because a killer has learned from other survivors where they hide. You haven't learned to deal with it yet is my guess.

Then again it could be hacks.

I'm not sure how much experience you have as a killer, but when I am playing one, people just hiding in bushes are still very visible to me. There is always an arm or an ass hanging out somewhere. My favorite is when characters wear hats, because then the bush wears a hat! Also be aware the Wraith has the ability to see you behind objects in cerrtain situations.

There are some hacks out there but only seen this 2-3 times in all hours I've played.

check and see what perks these killers are using and you'll know how they're doing it. things like shadowborn, deerhunter, predator, bloodhound all make it easier to find and track people. add ons can help

I've seen very little hacking so far. Some people have insane pattern recognition and will either find you easily, never lose you once they find you, or both.

It would be nice to be able to see the killer rank in the lobby. I think so many people are used to playing against newer killers that when a rank 1-5 one shows up they get demolished and don't know what happened.

BTW, I'm pretty good at stealth and can tell if they have a cheat on. I'll admit there are some real good killers with eyes and it may seem like they cheated but you can spectate and see on the other survivors if they go straight for them or "look" for them. The ones I'm sure of don't even try to hide it usually and make it very obvious...

I've seen it more than that. I've had several survivors using a run hack. I hit him and he's hurt leaving a massive bloodtrail. I follow with sloppy butcher at max speed. I follow him running over a minute and never catch him as he does a few spins, turns valts etc (while I dont decrease speed).

No one who has better perks is using Deerhunter.

And yeah, certain addons and perks really help the killer find you. The wraith in particular has addons that highlight players at close range while in stealth, a perk that makes blood far more visible, and a perk that is the opposite of Lightweight for survivors (scratches from sprinting last shorter/longer).

I started looking at scratches more as a killer, but at times they seem to disperse into nothing and just stop, and I can't see a thing lol. Maybe I'm just a bad.

I havent seen any hackers except possibly as survivor that was teleporting around along, moving way faster than shoud be possible, though it might not have been hacks and just been them being insaley laggy.

Bushes dont make you as invisible as you think they do, Ive had countless survivors just sit in a bush as I walked straight towards them because they think they are invisible.
Bushes help if the killer is just passing by or chasing somebody else, but they are not a full camoflauge. If they are looking directly at you, chances are they see you.

Any number of ways he could have found you

1) Patrolling Generators, if he keeps checking each generator, he is sure to find somebody eventually, especailly if the generator has been worked on more since he last checked it.

2) Skill Fails, Blow up the generator and he gets a notification that it happens from anywhere on the map.

3) Spies from shadows perk, notifies the killer when crows are disturbed within a certain distance of him.

4) Running trails, Running leaves a big glowing orange trail that only the killer can see.
If survivors run everywhere instead of walking, he will easily track them down.

5) Pure luck

Killer can see the survivors he has hooked from anywhere on the map, and recieves a notification when they escape. If suddenly they are no longer hooked, he will usually go patrol the area to try and recapture the escapee and/or the survivor that helped them.

Thats because they stopped running.

There is wall cheaters yeah, but there is also luck, perks and you messing up. If the person is rank 10, with no perks follow you no matter what you do, it's a cheater.
shamefuldirty Jun 30, 2016 @ 2:11pm
No sorry, beyond a doubt hackers. Just played, the guy hooks me, then makes a BEELINE directly for the next survivor (remember I can see them highlighted when hooked). No way this is all legit. Sure some guys are skillful, but the damned Killer hooking you and just going straight where another survivor is straight away without taking any time to look around or be, you know, normal, is BS.
