Crawling Through Beartraps
Survivors should NOT be able to crawl straight over 4 beartraps and then use the hatch.

Crawling into a beartrap should trap you, and if you escape it, you should still be in crawling mode.

Or maybe kill you.

Maybe.

it should kill you , or at least you are stuck at the trap again.

The most annoying part was that I dropped the survivor to place more bear traps and then was going to pick them up to let them wriggle free so I could chase them around for 4 minutes and get the Daily Ritual challenge and Trapping challenge for more bloodpoints. My own mistake to be fair, but the whole fact they can crawl through them and use the hatch is really bad.

I think they may have thought of this when they balanced it out.
How many times is this really gonna come up?

just my thought, not trying to argue your thought :)

Seriously? Why are you letting him crawl around anyway? Just hook him if you are worried about him reaching the hatch.

Getting two people downed at once.

Then the game is over and I dont get all those juicy blood points....

As it happens, I realised me error as it was my first game of the day, and I ACTUALLY COULDNT GRAB HIM BECAUSE MY OWN TRAPS WOULD TRAP ME so I had to watch him crawl into the hatch..... lol.....

Then congratulations, that is the hazzard of letting somebody crawl off. Trapper shouldn't have a "nobody can crawl away free" card. He has to be extreemely lucky to even find the hatch when you are crawling...

Eh. Do you think someone crawling against the ground is going to trigger a bear trap without forcing their weight on the trigger? That's kind of like setting off a Claymore Mine while crawling in the snow.

Then why didn't you pick him up, and throw him at a hook on the ground when you have another one alive, i don't get it its your own fault.
If you were smart enough you wouldve let him die instead of hooking the other guy so he can escape through the hatch once it opens.
Don't blame it on the game's physics, you are the one who didn't pay attention.

I didn't make this thread.

Plus there are plenty of things that could happen that's more important than one person in a crawling state.

You defend the people who agree.
I defend the people who disagree.
Simple. :D im not fighting here.
We are just both proving our own points

Well still, you're not always going to watching someone in a dying state like a hawk.

Regardless of what the people who are too thick to tie their own shoelaces think. Yes, the "trapper" should be able to stop people getting away by trapping things.

That is why he is called the trapper. I didn't make the substandard bloodpoints system, or design it so that people had to play cat and mouse with the last survivor in order to actually get half the bloodpoints available to them during most games, so don't blame me.

Yes.

Yes I do think a person with a gaping machete wound lumbering across the ground would set off a bear trap, nevermind the multiple beartraps that they are flapping around in like a dying seal.

If we are going to go for realism. Then I should be able to hack them to pieces with my machete while they are on the ground in the first place, but we aren't. We are going for good gameplay, which is not having crawling dying surivors crawling through beartraps which the killer, who set them, is unable to traverse without getting beartrapped, even though he knows its there, and could easily not step in the middle of it (realism)....
