Question: Can you play this game privately with 3 players?

Question: Can you play this game privately with 3 players?

I want to play with just 3 players (me and 2 friends) in a private match. Is this possible? Will it be impossible for the survivours to win? Will the game even allow the match to start with just 3 players?

Want to know before I buy!

Yeah you can just did that with my friends, it's of course gonna get harder for the survivors, but as far as I know they want to add new features so you can que together right from the start.

The perks arent terribly needed anyway, I barely notice most of mine.
Some really high levels might disagree, but honestly the whole game is there already.
