Hatch doesn't trigger, even with skeleton key!

Why put the damn thing in the game, if it's not going to work as intended? One guy tried to use the key on it when the hunter was cheating [instant downing people with a single hit]; didn't work. Then when he got down the last one of us after killing me, I got back to spectate and find the hatch never opened, and the hunter was right on him. Why put the damn thing in if it's not going to work half the time? To piss people off and get them to leave faster?

How many generators did you get before hand? You need a specific amount for it to trigger I think.

We managed to get down to 2 when I was hooked, and the last guy got it down to 1-- toolbox is broken, ironically-- and it still didn't trigger.

A few games ago I had a game where 3 of my fellow survivors bit the dust, one of them had the hook image in the bottom left corner the entire game. Because of this, the hatch never opened because it thought 2 survivors were still alive. Idk if it was d/c or host connection to player but almost cost me the game xD. Fortunately, killer wasn't all that good and I repaired the last two generators n escaped.

This is a good thing. The hatch is one of the most broken parts of this game.

Hatch doesn't need two generators if you have the key. Key is supposed to make the hatch appear at the beginning of the match, and you use the key to open it for an easy win for your team. If it didn't work that round then it's probably bugged.

Yeah, you are supposed to be able to find the key in the blood web, I've never found one but I have read about what it does. But keep in mind they can only escape through the hatch if the person holding the key finds the hatch and opens it with the key.

The skeleton key works. Saw it being used today.

I was surprised that the key was an instant use. The hatch opened and he jumped right into it immediately.
