The achievement 'Risk it all' mentions a 'Protective Ward'. What is that, exactly?

I think they're referring to "White Ward" offering.

This ensures that you don't lose the item and add-ons if dead.
Without using this, entering the fog with an ultra-rare item or add-on is indeed considered "risking it all"

Edit: I think the reason they just refer to it as "Protective Ward", is due to the offering known as "Black Ward" that only protects your add-ons -> http://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Offerings#Black_Ward

Thanks a lot Thiil, exactly what I was looking for. Just found the Skeleton Key and I want some way to protect it before I indeed "risk it all". :)
