Any measures against auto key pressing software?
A few people seem to be using auto key pressing software to spam a and d to get out hold and probably for the hook holds too. Anything being down to address this?

I mean they could detect some software driven macro programs, but let's face it 3/4 of all gaming mice these days have built in macros which are undetectable.

macros are not detectable by EAC, especially since the killer hosts the match privately. for EAC to detect keypress intervals (macros) then they would need the killer (the server) to actively scan all 4 survivors (the clients) which would create further lag, and be a complete waste of bandwidth and processing power, because a macro would not give any advantage in this game. the speed in which you spam the keys does not make struggle nor wiggle more effective, so they are unlikely to bother adding an extra layer of scanning, which can not only give false positives, but could be exploited by the host, plus create more lag.

its the DBD servers that detect cheating, not the hosts machine. They detect cheats from scanning your save files.

Dave (a dev) stated recently "macros do not make the game easier. but i dont know if the anti cheat company we use consider this tampering. I would stay on the safe side and not use it until its clear its allowed". EAC builds its anti cheat based around a companies specifications, and if they havent specified that they want to scan for key press intervals, then... logic.

that being said, the ONLY macros that would be even semi useful are ADADADAD and spacebar spam, and you would have to be extremely lazy to need such a thing. like... not just regular lazy, MEGA lazy

Too clarify Lowbei's C. there is a hard cap on how many push per second are actually being registered. Last I heard is 1 every .8 seconds but was only hearsay, if anyone has more details, please share.

grow up and come up with something new
you only have to alternate the keys every 500ms, macros will not speed it up so its pointless to implement measures against it

certain people might suggest this is a measure against macroing
