How to get beta key

I bought the standard version of the game and I see no beta key in steam or in my emails? What is happening?

Standard version does not include the beta key, only the Digital Deluxe does.

But as ScrewChou said above me the stickied SaveMe thread has free keys if you follow the instructions there.

Aw man why do they do that? They need the money that bad or what? Its a very different game and most poeple wont but it because they see there is not much to do. It would have been smart to do a short open beta like a weekend so people can take a feel of it and want it more.

Why they have a Digital Deluxe? Because it also contains the soundtrack, art book and 2 masks for Payday 2. It's just an extra for a bit more money, the beta keys are absolete after the launch.

The beta can be freely gained with the SaveMe thread and everyone can get it and test/play to their hearts content until the launch if I remember correctly.
