Is Distressing a good perk?
please tell me, terror radius increased by %8, this isn't good, is it? we don't want survivors to know we are there, but if they are fixing a generator they'll stop and we have more chances of seeing them leaving the gen

It's not good.
The change is not noticeable.

It hurts you in the sense that they are warned of you sooner, but it gives you more deviousness points for every action in that category.

So, you get 977 per chainsaw hit with Distressing III

Also the go-to perk for the Fear Killer meta. Nothing but Deviousness. Still kill everyone.

No longer the case. If you get off the instant the skillcheck does, it does not signal an explosion. Fixed in the public beta.

It's good for trapper since it gives you more time to set up traps before they start working on generators

And was amazing for countering jungle gyms but those are gone

No joking, I permanently use Distressing 3 on all of my killers except Billy. My Billy does have it too, but he is good fear accumulator even without it.

^^^^ it's also great for wraith. you can randomly uncloack and watch someone screw up on a gen/hook far away and know where to go.

Yup, its why my Wraith has it XD

I love messing with people's heads in this game and it is probably also why I like playing the Wraith.

I ran it on Billy when he was a wee lad for a bit. He runs so fast anyway they don't get much warning, and every chainsaw sprint was deviousness points.

Win win

Should also mention that combining the two-hit chainsaw addon with Distressing III gives you a full quarter of deviousness in one hit. You can hit four survivors and cap deviousness.

That extra fear radius works wonders for the hillbilly. People are so scared of his chainsaw that once they hear the heartbeat they will stop working on generators, or not work on them at all, significantly slowing them down in the early game. I can't say how good it is for other killers because I haven't used it on them. Sometimes it also makes the survivors panic and they will run sooner than normal, and you get to see those delicious scratchmarks when you may not have previously.
