Can you explain me the locker trick plz
Hi,

As killer I've seen survivors enter a locker at the exact timing I hit making me miss then exit and tun while I'm on cd.

As survivor if I'm hooked in the basement there's little chance to escape if I'm lucky most time probably not. I want to do the locker trick to escape the basement but I don't know how to do it, always then die as always.

Can someone explain me how to do it or at least how t-o escape the basement plz?

The locker trick that you are referring to is pretty risky, because if not timed right can just get you grabbed out of a locker. However, if you want to try to practice it as a survivor, hold down the run key while entering and while exiting the locker. It makes you hop into/out of them much faster.

Pretty sure it won't work if you're trying to escape from the basement when the killer is there unless you have sprint burst and time it correctly.

90% of the time, that locker trick nets me an extra 600 points for dragging you out of it.

It can work, and when it does its slick as hell, but most who try it get wrecked.

^ this

it's very RNG and mostly favors the killer

and even when it works you're likely only going to gain another 10 seconds or so of chase

Is that why people keep walking into lockers right in my sight when I play killer? Like lol, i just keep facepalming I thought they were trying to hide from me, but if they were just practicing a locker shield technique that's cool....if it actually worked for them.

If you were right on them and about to hit probably

otherwise they were bad
Here I was worrying that despite my hardline my dear victims were lagging and hoping in when they mean to be vaulting. This assuages some of my guilt at least.
Haven't run into one survivor thats dodged my attack by going into lockers. It just doesn't work out for survivors no matter how much they mash space lol.

I managed to do it accidentally when I wanted to vault a window the locker stood next to, avoiding a chainsaw attack successfully. Gave me a good laugh...

I managed to hide in the closet when a hillbilly nearly grabbed me. Well. He disappeared into thin air.. We later found out he was outside of the Map, its considered a closet dodge, right?

Closet OP.

Haven't had a single miss with people trying this until i teleported out of the map once while trying to grab them.

I haven't had any survivors try this sort of trick on me (I play mainly as killer and am really low lvl), but sometimes some have been in the locker, and managed to time their exit from the locker so accurately before my locker opening attempt, that they get out and my killer is stuck in the locker opening animation. Like... they get out of the closet, close the door, then my killer opens the door and looks into it and I cant do anything to stop it since I already initiated closet opening. I don't know what the timing needs to be.

In general I think the best bet for getting out of the basement is for the other survivors to bait the killer elsewhere.. In other words I dont think you can get out alone.

I agree the best strat is healthy survivors get in front of the killer to get the hit so the wounded survivor can escape while cd. Anyway a smart killer won't hit the healthy survivor.
