Survivors can blind the killer as they're picking up downed survivors

As if being able to communicate and strategize in SWF isn't enough, you can also instantly save teammates the moment they get downed by blinding the killer while they're locked in an animation to pick up downed survivors. Do this with your friends and you're all basically invincible. Can we get this fixed?

It's going to get fixed. They don't want the killer to get stunned while they're in an animation they can't cancel.

To be fair, this has nothing to do with SWF. I can just as easily stay close to a survivor while they're getting chased and flashlight the killer as they're picking them up, or do the same for a hook. Not saying it's any more fair regardless, but I don't really think it matters if you're playing with friends or not. Aggressive survivors are aggressive survivors.

I hope it gets fixed for things like picking up a survivor or hooking them, but not for things like breaking a pallet of vaulting. Basically things the survivors can bait you into doing should still be blindable, but things you have to do should be exempt from it.

To be honest, I have never had one of my flashlights, or a friend's flashlight EVER stun a killer. I have however seen this mythical mechanic on YT and in streams. I always just end up wasting a flashlight and any addons for it.

Please let me know if I am doing it wrong...I mean, I point it at their face when staring right at me, and they just walk over and hit me and down me.

In my opinion, you should be more careful about trying to instantly grab a survivor when his friends are around. While it may be true that you're required (to an extent) to pick up and hook survivors, you are not required to do it immediately. Killers should have to think and strategize just as much as survivors do, and it doesn't take long at all to hit someone who is close enough to flashlight you and see them scamper off with a puckered rear end before you proceed to hook their friend.

Originally you were immune to 'Flashlight Grasp' if you were in mid animation of picking up or dropping the survivor, and hooking the survivor.

But 1.1.2 says now you can actually stop them in mid-animation. Though I haven't tried yet... which means the Killer can no longer ignore a flashlight user if they are near a hook, or a downed survivor.

In otherwords, things like this won't fly for the Killer any longer.

It's my opinion that you shouldn't have to scour the entire nearby area for survivors just to make sure you don't get blinded. Especially when the survivors have sprint burst and flashlight addons, they have plenty of time to blind you when you pick up another survivor. Considering it's absolutely necessary for the killer to pick up survivors in order to complete their main objective in the game, it seems rediculous for survivors to be able to so harshly punish a killer in this way.

A lot of killers will build their perks based off of what they see in the pre-game lobby. So if they see flashlights, chances are they will put on lightborn, which drastically increases their defense against flashlights. I consider myself pretty decent at using the flashlight, and can tell when their using it. Definitely tough to get a blind off.
