luckily devs will never remove things just because some say so.
I also really dont enjoy playing it. In general i would love to see a rework of many, many maps.
Midwich is one of my three favorite maps in the game for either side. It's one of a total of like four maps, plus the Awful Badham maps, which aren't just giant open areas.
Hawkins was my favorite map as killer and survivor :D
But to be honest rpd was trash. rework sadly even more trash but the reason to rework it was there.
1-Hook spawn can suck BADLY, and apparently some are bugged and become unusable.
2-The Exit Gates are too close together and are fixed as such, this makes it impossible for a last survivor to escape trough them if they failed to get hatch, other maps give a chance to escape with gates if you get decent RNG, but with Midwich, youre just dead.
RPD remains the worst map, now maps, in the game. Midwich is honestly fun now. it took 2 years but it has grown on me.
Midwich has the predictability that old haddonfun did except it's also very dynamic based on which hallways get the connecting windows. and you can, like the pallets on old haddonfield, scout them in advance if you had map knowledge.
It has a nice blend of short loops, directionally strong resources and hold W that require a little bit of know how to bring out but become very reliable when you do.
It also has some really cool thematic cul-de-sacs like the watchtower, bathroom and one of the exit gates where the survivors can actually buy time and both sides have a little wiggle room to try and get the good version.
and Midwich has strong reset spots that dry up if the resources are used in chase. It's a strategic map and really, other maps should look to it for inspiration if BHVR really wanted to make this a more balanced / esportsy game.
I love the survivor friendly maps because it's fun to try and kill people with a good setup but even I love Midwich
