Could Ash Williams kill the killers?

This was a fun little question that kept popping into my head every now and then whenever I thought about Dead by Daylight (this and the greatness of the impending release of Ghostface), and it's more directed towards those who have seen the movies and / or the show (Ash vs. Evil Dead was great)

If Ash had his chainsaw and his Boomstick, which killers would he be able to kill?

If I was to answer my own question, any killer which looks like or has similar capabilities / powers to that of a deadite, he'd probably be able to take them down simply because he's fought and killed similar beings for his entire life. AKA

The Hag
The Plague
The Spirit

He'd also probably be able to kill Freddy Kreuger too because he's a "Dream Demon" and Ash has taken on plenty of demons before, technically the deadites themselves are "beings possessed by a Kandarian demon".

I want to say also the Nurse would fall to Ash as well because her supernatural power of teleporting isn't exactly new for him to fight against. He's gone up and come out on top against all manner of supernatural beings, so I think these would be his most comfortable fights. Even if we took away the fact that teleporting actually hurts her in a sense (she gets exhausted from teleporting and constantly wheezes almost as if from pain) I still don't think she would be able to do much that anyone else Ash has faced off with couldn't.

Hillbilly and Leatherface go down too because they've only got chainsaws.. but so does he. He's fought against himself before fully equipped with a chainsaw and everything, so chainsaw duels are not new as well. (plus he's got the shotgun)

I want to say Doctor and Wraith too because they also kind of fall into the supernatural ability category, Wraith especially because all he can do is turn invisible (but not even completely) but I'm not too sure.

Everything else is kind of up in the air, could he kill Michael Myers? Trapper? The Pig? The Clown??


If you can't tell I'm just kind of bored and thought I'd post this r/showerthoughts esc. thread, I also just really like the character of Ash Williams so it's pretty cool to think about. Ash was too powerful with his shotgun and chainsaw so he had to be nerfed before even being put into Dead by Daylight, lol.

Ace would be able to trick all the killers to let him go. Meg would outrun them all. There is not way that any heavy killer can run faster than meg. Etc etc.

I doubt that he would even be able to catch Nurse or Spirit.

I can't exactly remember the exact episode and what it was called but Ash during the show definitely took out a kandarian demon similar to the powers of Nurse / Spirit, a sort of dream demon who could teleport, definitely took him down.

Only problem with the whole idea of Ash killing killers is he does not have Pablo, And Kelly to back him up. I watched the series in the last month. He has his moments but nothing on Killer level without backup.

Dunno about that, I'm sure pablo and kelly do their part especially later in the seasons, but in the beginning Pablo and Kelly were mostly riding on Ash's shoulders, especially in the very first episode. At the end of the day he is the "chosen one / savior of humanity" so he definitely could hold his own when it came down to it.

RIP season 4, we probably would've seen Ash go absolutely hard at the end.

Yeah, no my guy. All legion ever did was kill a janitor and even that was purely by accident as well. Ghostface would probably be able to dispatch all four of them in a heartbeat, none of the survivors would be able to tangle one on one with Ghostface either.

Pablo and Kelly aren't in the movies, so he does not need them.

DbD Ash is based off the tv show so movies don't count. Sure he has past victories alone but not in this version.

Ash vs Evil Dead is in the same universe as the Evil Dead movies, so they are one in the same.

Laurie Strode in the most recent Halloween movie was armed to the teeth though

and usually the killer isn't defeated or killed until after they've already committed several murders. Which isn't anything to scoff at, people IRL have trouble getting away with just the one.
