Currently locked out of the game, no idea why.

After trying a few things, I ended up reinstalling. I have the same issue, except now the file path leads to DeadbyDaylight.exe

Google does not provide much insight. I was really looking forward to showing off and learning the new map! Anybody with suggestions? I tried verifying the game cache, restarting Steam and my computer, as well as reinstalling the game.

I currently am having the same issue. Beforehand I was also experiencing quite a few issues with the EAC not letting me play the game, so i decided to uninstall and reinstall the game. When it was just about there the exact same error messege appeared. If any has any insight onto this im sure me and anyone else who is having this problem here would greatly appreciate it.

I've found out recently that my actual game files had become corrupted and therefore unplayable, so to fix my problem I did a full clean reinstall by first uninstalling the game from steam. Then going into the my computer files and deleting all DBD files from my computer. Now after reinstalling the game my problem sees to be solved.

My Solution was to follow the file path "SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\_CommonRedist\DirectX" then rename the file named "Jun2010" to "Jun2011". That forced it to create a new one and it works just fine now. No progress loss.
I have seen that deleting that file works too, but mine didn't allow me to. So Renaming it worked.

i dont know what that last file means so i dont really know how to fix it
anyone still going in this forum thing?
