Do somebody know if its possible to turn of the background music?

Not that I'm aware. If they ever add this it would only be for the menus as the music in-game affects gameplay.

The background music is awesome for survivors atleast. You know where the killer is going based on the music that plays right now, perfect to juke him on walls like autohavens or asylum.

Go to options and mute everything. Just turn it on when your in a game, you have plenty of time whilst in the animation at the start of the game.

Turning off background music to get an advantage (while not turning off other sounds) is indeed exploiting game mechanics.

Expect he was talking about the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ intro movie in the post that you just decided to jump in "zomg now I got proof of your mad exploits!", shut it dude =/

go to settings and turn off the sounds to zero percent, or I do 5%.
Then when in game I put it back up, don't need to hear it outside a real match.
