80 seconds that is almost a WHOLE gen.
So you cann't do anything to fully get the 80 second value.
EZ PZ.
Others have stated it, but just to clarify for you. Any endurance effect ends with any "conspicuous action"
A Conspicuous action is:
Repairing a generator
Healing yourself or others
Cleansing or Blessing a Totem
Sabotaging a hook
Unhooking others
Opening an exit gate
In other words. If you still have endurance after 80 seconds, and the killer is not foolishly chasing you that entire time, you have done nothing to help your team.
The worse Off the Record can do is enable the user to body block the killer for a good while- or up until the killer finally hits them. This may help their other target get away, but it is going to put the user in danger in exchange...you better let someone else heal you up before trying it. (Yes, someone else healing you to full does not get rid of endurance)
Keep in mind, the perk does not directly tell them that. It does not tell them anything about conspicuous actions. It just mentions giving them endurance with no explanation on how endurance works. So do not expect newer players (or those who did not read the patch) to know it.
There is nothing wrong with OTR, stop pretending that there is.
Chill. He did not know OTR can lose it's effect. He thought it lasted a whole 80 seconds or until hit. Which is understandable since the perk description fails to mention conspicuous actions.
so...............useless unless you get tunneled.
or you can just tunnel him harder cuz it last 1 hit anyway.
wait, wait, wait...
While helping Patrick (OP) I just noticed something...
After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Off the Record activates for the next 60/70/80 seconds:
Prevents your aura from being revealed to the Killer, if they attempt to read it.
Suppresses Grunts of Pain when injured.
Grants the Endurance Status Effect.
Doing a conspicuous action ONLY ends the endurance effect...you keep the Iron Will and anti Aura reading effect for the whole 80 seconds...
That makes this perk a LOT better than I thought. Even if it can only trigger twice in a game, 160 seconds of iron will and invisible aura is pretty decent...especially with the new aura reading meta started by Lethal Pursuer..
