The other issue is we just had the anniversary not long ago as well, plus people trying this overhaul. We've had a surplus of players since then, most likely using up flans still or actually enjoying the patch. That's why we need more time to gauge this, imo.
You didn't really disprove OP, but neither of you can claim much until time passes to see how it fluxuates.
"for every one surwvivor that quits another 100 takes your place."
Didn't I? Charts say completely different story.
Survivors are leaving the game because they arent treated well and all their good perks get nerfed.
While killers still have overpowered crutch perks to slow the gens down and pressure survivors all the time.
And like I said, neither of you can claim much until we see what happens later on.
We're still net gain from before the anniversary if you look at the stats. You're focusing on a quote that even I agree is too optimistic and should be looking at the long term effects from the chart.
21/07 Last Thursday Player peak: 51,536
22/07 Friday Player peak: 50,847
23/07 Saturday Player peak: 51,540
24/07 Sunday Player peak: 50,663
25/07 Monday Player peak: 46,568
26/07 Tuesday Player peak: 44,460
27/07 Wednesday Player peak: 43,306
Could it be because the game always loses players right after every event?
When did the last event end? Last week...
Other than that I agree on some of the gen perks. Particularly Pain Resonance and Eruption need their gen damage tuned down a bit. Still see survivors that aren't braindead clearing gens in like 30 seconds though. Most people just clearly had no clue how to do anything without having a handful of perks carrying them entirely.
And on an outlier issue I'd say Legion needs some work as they benefited massively from any of the speed increases. Far more than any other killer due to the fact they were already oppressively quick. Short of it is there is far more viable variety with a few things being broken and the only people who actually quit are those who refuse to learn.
There does seem to be a steady downward trend.
