And you can use any high tiles he cant shoot over as cover, looping small loops to force him use his M1. If you are in distance run zigg zagg instead of stright forward and like with nurse try to break line of sight. Good tricksters land theyre shots no matter what. To get the deepest understanding how he is countered i recommend playing him if you have his DLC.
Maybe you're playing against him like he's a normal m1 killer, but just play as him to see his weaknesses, like he really struggles in some tiles, main buldings or long tall loops, because in your regular short loop he will get you eventually, even if it takes him some time to do so.
Specifically, Trickster reminds me of horror movie villains from the wave of ultraviolent Asian movies that gain cult popularity around the globe in the early 2000s. For example, he may be inspired by Genesis, the rock n' roll glam killer who appears briefly in the Japanese movie Suicide Club, released in 2001. That movie even features music as a major theme throughout. Character bio here: https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Genesis_(Suicide_Club)
(Warning, video searches for this character are likely to turn up some extremely violent content. You've been warned.)
Trickster also has a non -superficial resemblance to Ichi the Killer, and to the protagonists for rock n roll zombie movie Wild Zero featuring rock band Guitar Wolf.
Seems like a dumb copy of Huntress, but with a cheap edgy teen design.
Huntress is very well designed if you ask me. Like how she hums and ♥♥♥♥.
When steam cencorship makes it worse than it would be without cencorship XD
Learn to crouch and learn to find the safe loops.
He's not the worst killer, but he's one of the worst ranged killers by a significant margin. Basically the same downsides as Huntress, being a 110% killer with a lullaby, but also less accurate and requires several knives to injure.. And can't really be done at long range like you see with really good huntress snipes.
Break líne of sight, start running before he's standing next to you, or something (Sadly, he has a lullaby, you can hear him coming before you enter his terror radius, as if he nedeed it...)
Use the objecs to your favor to not give free hits, zigzag when running, never run in a straight line- hug walls, low and high ones to force him to M1 instead of throwing knives, predrop pallets your know he has to go through (throwing pallets right in front of him when he has knives Is giving him an easy down).
It takes like 6 or 8 knives to make you lose a health state, don't panic and get behind something to make the laceration go down, it goes away after a while if he doesn't land more hits to you and he will need to throw 8 more knives to you if the laceration disappears.
But yeah, someone who's really good with him won't show you his weaknesses, you're only gonna notice his strenghts, he's pretty oppresive in a 1v1. I love going against one
Now though it seems like many people have come forward claiming to love him, and it's obvious based on the number of cosmetics that BHVR does as well. To me and many others he's just a wacky attempt to get Asian audiences into the game with a name that has nothing to do with his lame powers that literally don't even work unless you're standing out in the open. And to make up for that BHVR decided to up his total number of knives from something like a dozen to ten thousand and equipped him with a "just look around and hold the autofire button, you'll eventually hit something" power.
