PROBLEM: DbD won't start

Since the Dredge's update, DbD stopped working on my pc. It worked fine in the last month, never gave similar problems.
I didn't change anything in the PC, the only thing that changed was the Dredge's update. Since that, when I start the game Windows says it's not responding from the first second it opens. It plays the new intro video, with image and sound, and then it's stuck on a black screen.
My OS is Windows 7, I did not update it and I'm starting to think this is the cause of the problem. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game wasn't helpful.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, same with me. Used to play with no issues before but now with the update DbD shows the black screen after the intro video.

When I searched on the internet, some of them solved this problem by doing something but it didn't work for me.

I get to connecting to RTM server and my game crashes so hard my whole PC crashes, I have no clue what 6.0 did to the game. The game isn't responding the entire time its trying to connect to servers though.

My os windows 8.1 by the way. I tried on Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 but problem still the same.

I have the exact same problem and it's frustrating since I really want to play the new update. My problem is when starting the game, intro pops up and the sound, sure, but I can't skip the intro or when the intro ends, there's just black screen and I can't do anything after that.
I have tried restarting the computer and before it helped but not anymore. I have operating system Windows 7 too. Please fix this problem soon, I want to play so bad!!

Sadly, no. I tried to copy EasyAntiCheat folder from Program Files (x68) into Program Files as suggested in one of the similar threads but it didn't help.

if you check the steam store page for DBD you will see that it says windows 10 Minimum ❕❕
but windows is not all the reason for black screen can happen cuz of some other reasons like Graphic card or Ram (your pc hardware)
check this and see what this website says about you running the game or not :

still there can be other reasons like driver update or windows update or perhaps you didnt install all the requirements apps for the game (this one is very unlikely cuz it is steam ^_^)
or maybe your pc is not in a healthy state like damage in some hardware and needs fix ❕

also there can be other reasons like running other apps and trying to launch the game or your Firewall blocking the EAC or DBD ❗
in the end i strongly suggest you ask DBD official support for help as in here there are mostly other players ^_^

Mine worked fine yesterday and wouldn't get past initial dbd loading screen today even after verifying my game files, I updated my graphics driver and now works fine

Deleting and reinstalling Easy Anti Cheat helped in my case. I did it using EAC exe-file inside of steamapps\common\DbD\Easy Anti Cheat folder.
