maybe its because the game devs are canadian so they legally have to have the chat censor because of canadian "hate speech" laws? (you can literally be thrown in jail for telling a joke as a comedian)
thats the only thing i can think of, because surely its not because they feel their playerbase are spineless children that need protecting, doesnt the game have a mature
rating? so one would think mature adults, ones who can actually handle some harsh words without letting words of a stranger they will never see again, affect them long term, but people these days give strangers way too much power over them with a few simple pixels of text on a screen, and its honestly sad
