Rest in peace, Dead by Daylight <3
It was "pretty fun" while it lasted. I'm a soloQ survivor (and an awful killer) that plays this game since 2020.
Playing alone it's quite difficult, because you don't know who the f*ck will be your teammate, and usually they are bullsh*t.
Now, with the Mid-Season Patch, the killers will be even more overpowered. They say that's ok, "changes are good". But it was really necessary?
If a survivor plays against a good and meta killer (nurse, blight, huntress...) no one will escape that match, and I say that like the SoloQ player I am.
I understand that premades can be quite a pain too, but they are nerfing EVERYBODY, not the premades.
So, it's obvious there's gonna be a lot of killers now. But they won't have survivors to play against, because nobody wants to play a game when they know they will lose the 90% of the trials. And the BP rewards for playing the least played role won't be enough.
I hope Behaviour makes a new game mode where a killer face another killer, because otherwise the game will be dead.
Cheers, survivors and killers. We had a great time far enough <3

You cannot possibly give unbiased opinion as you clearly don't play killer. They are also nerfing every major anti gen perk from killer side

I play killer, but i'm pretty bad. And being bad I can take 1-2 survivors per trial (in the worst trials). I saw the changes in Ruin, Pop Goes The Weasel, Corrupt Intervention, among others. They aren't as bad as the survivor changes. It's obviously a killer buff patch.
And if you think otherwise, you're clearly blind.
Just imagine a facecamp Bubba. They will have 10 seconds more per generator. ¡It's party time!

Yeah buddy, have you ever seen the activity on that game? It won't die soon, I don't know what crappy stuff you're spitting out of your mouth right now.

killer is more challenging once you get into real ranks... vs survivors that play extremely well you get sliced, diced, served up raw... usually ppl complain about killers don't play them well or play them at all. so i say try maining a killer for couple months to see game from two sides not just one side. i play both and i have more fun with swf vs killer, killer requires more thought vs skilled swf with add ons rdy to flashlight your face off and take you on a pallet journey you may not mentally recover from!

good survivors that are also good killers understand there's two sides to the dbd coin. then there survivor only and killer only players but keep in mind there's still two sides to the coin. killer want the game in their favor and survivors in their favor... rest of us just want balance and skill based gameplay from both sided.

So what survivor nerfs exactly will make the game to die? those anti gen perks could slow down gen progress by MINUTES not merely 10 seconds that they compensated. You cannot possibly sit there with straight face and say that those nerfs weren't big deal. Ruin was absolutely gutted and nobody will run it anymore. It will take 5 mins to regress 99ed generator with new ruin.

If you haven't noticed there has been lack of killers specially at evenings, which has been increasing issue. So if certain amount of survivor mains quit playing it will only help the game actually with queque times.

I'm curious how many people consider themselves an awful killer, and not just that the killer role is just inherently difficult. It's something I've heard other people say as well.

Everyone is a "bad killer" at some point, but the game isn't insanely skill based like a proper esport, it just takes practice. I think a lot of people just give up immediately when they lose their first few games, can't run tiles, and can't catch anyone in chase. If you stick to it, follow some guides and tutorials, I think killer can be much more fun that survivor.

Yes, I saw it. The activity right now it's because the anniversary, the bloodpoints and that sh*t.

Do you think that when the midpatch comes, the game will stay the same? Dude, stay off drugs.

SoloQ is about to be much worse that's for sure. Playing as killer is already strong against solos but after the perk changes it's just awful. When i play as survivor i get sandbagged, left on hook - everything that just makes me question the intellect of the human beings behind the surv

I didn't say those nerfs weren't a big deal. They are. But not as awful as survivor changes.

And no. If survivors quit playing, it won't be good to the queue time. It doesn't work by numbers of players, it works by MMR. There will be even more waiting time.

Neither survivors nor killers are going to be happy about this patch because survivors are going to end up gen rushing with Prove Thyself and Commodious toolboxes once it hits. I bet it happens.

I'm almost sure Survivors are gonna genrush like crazy after this patch, which could be a bad thing.

Let's wait until the PTB hits and we'll see

Ah yes, because the game was doing so great, y'know, bleeding more and more players every month for the past year, and BHVR pretty much admitting "yeah, there isn't enough killer players", and most killer players leaving because the game wasn't very fun going up against the same few perks every game, and then having to play sweaty, which caused survivors to leave, because the killers were playing sweaty.

I'm not going to pretend that the patch is perfect - and these changes are seriously coming 5 years too late, but this is finally a step in the right direction and has changes people have been asking for literally those 5 years on both sides of the spectrum.

Killer requires so much more work than survivors and was extremely unfun to play. It's no surprise that they've been leaving, causing queues to be completely unbalanced. And the reason people were leaving is due to core issues within the gameplay.

Whether you like it or not, the current way the game is at the moment was hemorrhaging players every month at an alarm rate. Even during licensed chapters would at best, break even, only to have a large drop next month. The game lost over half of its players in a year, and now there are two games (VHS, and Evil Dead) that are trying to compete against its throne. Changes have to happen.
