If you really care about getting grade 1 just keep playing as much as you can and hope that the other survivors aren't garbage. You're given plenty of time to do it but it's always a crapshoot regardless.
Edit: typo
I literally can't get past 3/5 pips on Grade 3.. it's absolute torture.
And im not a great player.. Ok maybe im great/good but def. not amazing, also soloQ was always as hard in my experience personally because i cant loop well but other than killer i have more options to get my pips, searching for totems, healing/rescuing mates, doing gens which i can do best, to compensate for my bad running and only slowly learining how to loop well. On killer it depends on the team you get, until gold you pip up fast by the nature of the ranks but after if you just unlucky and get teams that stomp you over and over again you will not pip up, when you do an average of 3k or 4k and the matches dont go too fast you pip.. It CAN be a sign of skill but sooner or later you will get to iri 1 if you really are dedicated to dbd no matter how good you are. Having iri 1 by the end of month doesnt mean much, the players to fear are the ones that are on iri 1 during the first 2 weeks each month, because those ARE masters.
But i've noticed that if you play in the morning, there are bigger chances for getting matches which are not so sweaty, atleast for europe.
So if you are good or play with a friend it's probably "easier" but when you suck and on top of that you are solo.. I would rather go for no hit run of dark souls series, than sweating for iri 1 again.
I used kindred, empathy, empathic connection and lithe.
It almost felt like we were on discord.
You‘re injured and being hunted? Don‘t come near me. Let me repair my gen.
You‘re not hunted anymore? Alright, let‘s meet, so I can heal you.
Kindred is a must have perk in solo q and finally lithe to end chases :)
Just the general gist: if you escape a lot, you'll face better killers; and if you get killed a lot, the killers matched with you won't be as sweaty.
This know-how is enough to get any survivor to Iri 1.
You don't want to get matched with low mmr killers, because it'll also match you with low mmr survivors. Killers will actually facecamp and the survivors won't do gens but hide or go down after 5s in a chase.
Low mmr is good for killer, easiest time of your life pipping. Hell, I only played Legion starting over a bit over a month ago and by now my mmr is probably over the softcap, to the point the games on Legion are next lvl vs any other of my killers facing absolute bots for the most part.
I consider myself only an average player. But I never have any issues getting to Iri 1 within about a week.
You are just bad at the game then. I am Iri 1 within 2 weeks of reset, sometimes 1 week. its really not hard, you probably just die fast and not as good at the game as you think you are. You can die and still pip.
