1 problem here.
So you might remember how in the last survey the devs asked about our opinion on Limited Time Cosmetics (aka. FOMO skins) and the community of course said "no, we don't want it".

Guess what? In this trailer we see that Dwight's and Jane's skins are "Available For A Limited Time Only".

Three thoughts: First of all I agree, the event looks great. Second, while I don't know what the most popular answer was, I was one of the people did in fact make it clear on the recent survey that I'm not a fan of limited time cosmetics, UNLESS those cosmetics are provided a reasonable amount of time (say, a couple of weeks) to ensure that everyone currently playing has a chance to get them. But still, I would prefer that no cosmetic be timed or exclusive at all.

The third point though is that this event was probably set in stone well in advance of that survey. Could they have changed the details to change the cosmetics from "limited time" to something else? Maybe, but that survey was only like 2 weeks ago.

yes its great, i love everything about it ^^ i was one of the people who said no to limited timed outfits, i even put a note where i wrote "i would be more inclined to buy outfits when they are aviable anyway but if i feel rushed i will probably not buy them" because money doesnt fly in the window whenever i need it and i have very strict rules what of my incomes is used for pixles. But eh, guess they want people to feel rushed to buy fast, luckily i dont play jane or dwight.

We don't know if the community has all voted for that. That's the thing. We know nothing. This is an assumption. Some people might have voted not understanding the question. o_O .. I think I said yes because I thought every Halloween/Christmas/Easter .. etc they will be available. I don't even remember that being something in the survey XD

The other thing I don't particular care for is one of the upcoming "Quality of life" features:

Progress beyond Tier 70 of the Archives and earn new Deep Rift Outfits, variations of new Outfits exclusive to The Rift.

I don't see this as a quality of life, I see this as a "please don't stop playing our game once you finish grinding the archives"

I voted for "I don't mind" and rifts already have limited time cosmetics, since these are not licensed they can do reruns on them or just add them to the store later.

Ghost face are going to be beyond lvl70 .. Also, it is very easy to finish the rift.

It should come as no surprise to anyone who's read the novels I posted here but I had a LOT to say in the "anything else?" section of that survey. A LOT. Lol.

Would anyone honestly say that they prefer exclusive, limited time cosmetics? I mean no one actually thinks that way, do they? It seems like such an odd thing to ask. "Would you prefer that everyone gets a chance to get this stuff, whenever they want, or would you rather have to play at a specific time otherwise not have the chance to get them at all"? I mean who would say "yes, make things MORE restrictive"?

Either way yeah, the Halloween event looks really strong. I'm gonna have fun collecting all the goodies.

Dont underestimate people my friend XD maybe some just voted because they dont care about cosmetics and laugh now because there are limited things.

I am totally here for the Plague's gumball machine. I don't play Plague much right now, but when I'm able to smack survivors with a freakin' gumball machine you'll see me doing a lot more Plague.

As for the Time-Limited, meh. i can see both sides, but to me if you are going to buy it anyway, it's not that big of a deal. Like I will 100% for sure be getting that Jane one. I probably will get the Dwight one just cause it's hilarious for when I need to play Dwight for a challenge, but that's about the only time I play Dwight. Jane on the other hand? I am an ex-Jane main (now Claire) but still play her a lot.

But, that's what I think people need to get over the "FOMO" thing, and just... don't let it get to you. If you are a Jane or Dwight main, yeah buy it. Otherwise, you don't really need it (to be honest you don't NEED it even as a Dwight or Jane main, we just want them because we love the fashion show this game is. Don't try to deny it.)

This is a commonly used tactic to encourage whales to buy more cosmetics. It's used a lot by companies owned by EA where they will stack events for limited items or items they pretend to be limited so then bring them back later. Or in the case of apex legends a recolor of a specialist skin for wraith that they probably did 5min of work on then sold for like 20 bucks.

Tbh I think it should be in consumer protection laws to take advantage of people's addictions but then the tobacco industries would be held accountable and we all know they would fight tooth and nail against it.

i wouldnt call buying cosmetics an addiction, also government should keep out of my affairs, what i do or not to with MY money is nones buisness.. I dont need a nanny to protect me and have their fingers in my accounts.

Oh, licensed killers for sure won't get them (except maaaaybe Ghost Face, see below for why). So sadly, Myers will not. It's really up to the license holders whether anything new is added. Lionsgate has been pretty good with Saw, Capcom is pretty great with Resident Evil, and the real shining company is Fun World Toys, since lets's be honest, their inclusion in Dead by Daylight has been the best thing to happen to their bottom line since the first Scream movie, especially since most of the outfits in Dead by Daylight other than the classic Ghost Face was made exclusively for Dead by Daylight and so that's totally new merchandise on their end. Now, finally we are getting the rest of their original Ghost Face outfits in Dead by Daylight (like the Scarecrow Ghost Face I've been wanting ever since I started playing DBD!)
