One played as a second killer and was fooling around
The other was a hacking killer that could hit us across the map and teleport
He ended up dc because me and my friend left the game and the 2 randoms refused to play with a hacker
Hate how this game requires not only awareness of almost every perk in the game to determine fairness, but on top of that you have to have a 6th sense to even attempt to determine if someone's cheating unless it's blatant
Most are using hard to detect things like 1/2% move speed increases, or marginally faster gen/healing speed. With these its really hard to tell if they are cheating or not, but that extra 1/2% speed really impacts the game...
But every now and then you get one that doesn't seem to give a ♥♥♥♥ and fly's over the map, completing all 5 gens at the same time, while cleansing every totem and sabotaging every hook. Not to mention if they mess up and you do manage to down them, they can instant struggle free and also instant heal.. had that happen a few times recently...
The best one was while i was playing as wraith on the eerie of crows map after the 6.1 update (so only a month or so ago). I chased a survivor, he went inside a locker, as i opened the locker, he flew out of it, and somehow slowed my locker opening action speed down. i was locked in that animation for 3 whole gens worth of time, all the while he stood flying in front of me, taunting me.
From my almost 500 hours in dbd, i've only ever come across cheaters that were playing as survivor, and i often experience the all out, no ♥♥♥♥♥ given cheaters after a big patch / DLC release. For example, on the day of wesker release last week or so, i had a hacker that would fly in front of me while i was chasing another survivor, and hook himself in a doorway or vault location... i couldn't move past him cause of collision... it was infuriating... but his SWF weren't happy that i still managed to 3k. I ended up just having to slug all 3 of them and hit them as soon has he instant picked them up... was a long match, but i wasn't gonna give up and let them win without a fight.
It's always been the case in dbd, normal players take ages to notice things that veterans and more serious players notice quickly.
oh damn, didn't know that was a thing. I was in spectate when I saw the killer smack someone from like 3 in game meters. I thought it was just some visual bug or latency issue. Had I known I should've saved my shadow play recording. Hackers are the only reason why I use shadow play. I had it off for a very long time when I wasn't playing DbD and then when I started playing again and seeing hackers I decided to turn it back on.
I downed the survivor I was chasing in less than 20 seconds, yet a generator popped a few seconds after Eruption damaged it and without Discordance going off. So I check the end results and nobody has Hyperfocus, nobody had Prove Thyself, and nobody ran a toolkit.
What happened? I feel that it was an Epic Games Store account that did it, but I’ve got no proof since that person was almost always hiding.
