Not sure why you running Ruin + Undying on GF to begin with. He has no map mobility and he's basic m1 killer that can't down people fast enough to create pressure. You'd likely be way better off with stuff like Pain resonance + Deadlock/Pop or CI/DMS.
or
bamboozle > pain res > dead man > deadlock
GF doens't have enough anti loop in general to deal with mediocre players so his pain resonance + dead mans is way worse than say huntress or nurse who run deadlock + tinkerer. If you don't take either bamboozle or endfury you have to outright ignore infinite zones and just pray the other survivors are garbage at dbd.
Ghostface is already pretty bad and he's getting nerfed fairly hard with the new patch, so if you have a choice i'd choose wraith or the ring (worse but funner wraith) as a brainless stealth killer or doc for a bp farmer.
Most killers are running pain resonance and dead man's switch, I'd suggest that over ruin or jolt.
There are so many decent loops that don't have windows. I used to think Bamboozle is a must-have on killers like Ghostface but I find myself using it less and less nowadays. I think exposed survivors not being able to reveal you will give you some form of mindgame potential due to not having a red stain in isolated spots such as, say, the shack.
I've put some thought into potential builds and I think I might be going for Pain Resonance, DMS, Gift of Pain and Nurse's - the latter is kind of a tentative one. Most good survivors will boon up and heal far away from the action, but it's good info in indoor maps and will soon have the potential to waste healing time due to the Hemo buff.
Sry about the late post.
One question, why run Gift of Pain over Sloppy Butcher? When exposing someone with Ghost Face then downing them, would that not still count as a basic attack? If it does count, I think Sloppy would be better because despite having Pain Res, you can't always make it to a Scourage hook, so surely Sloppy would be a better choice?
Gift of Pain causes gen slowdown because you suffer a 9% pentalty to repair speeds after being healed. It's better than Sloppy in that sense. Also, you might as well get even more value out of a Scourge Hook. You really need to get lots of value from a down to win games at the top level.
DMS + Pain Resonance is really the only viable way to compete against really good survivors, it seems. You can either do that or just play Nurse/Blight until BHVR does something about MMR.
Pyramid Head's pretty fun! RPD's one of his best maps, especially with nurse's and undying. I've gotten countless M2s through rooms that people would feel safe in.
I just hate how bad his addons are. Hope he gets a pass next.
I don't think Scourge Hooks are a big issue for Pyramid Head. Chase info perks such as I'm All Ears will give you lots of satisfying hits but I've stopped using it on him because I want to get legitimately good at predicting movement. It just takes a chase or two before you figure out the survivor's movement pattern (like how often they double back).
Yeah I agree, and not to sound stuck up or anything, but I think my predictions are pretty good right now. One thing that threw me off when I started playing him again though was putting his sword in the ground is much slower than it used to be, I thought it was a bug when I first figured it out but I'm guessing it was a nerf for him? Either way, prediction shots are, imo, easily learnt, not even with different survivors but just by playing Pyramid, most survs have similar-ish movement.
