New Killer Speculation

Honestly I think it's going to be a Plague Doctor. During a recent Stream one of the Devs said the next Killer is going to be the furthest in the past. (Revealed prematurely and amusingly to MCote's disapproval)

The small teaser on Instagram gave me Plague Doctor Ideas with all the documents and other thinks spread across the table with dates circled.

That, and I want to play as SCP-049.

what is a plague doctor even, a doctor who specializes in making.... the plague?
and how is that related to the plants we see very centrally during hte teasers?

He could be delusional and thinking the survivors are infected with the plague and the way to "cure" them is to kill them.

There are plenty of antagonists in movies, video games and such that are cursed by something and ironically believe that they are doing good in killing someone.

Edit: I dunno about the plant thing honestly. lol

The oldest serial killer is h h Holmes, or more know as "jack the ripper" so hes the furthest killer

Just to correct you - They said the killer of Chapter 11 is going to be the oldest one, from a timeline perspective. Next up, in December, is Chapter 10. So Chapter 11 is coming around March 2019.

instead of speculating about the next killer who comes in march of next year, why don't you people speculate about the upcoming killer? (chapter 10) Where's Logic Please?

The teasers on instagram have absolutely nothing to do with a plague doctor killer, or even the next chapter. They are teasers for the upcoming hallowed blight event which is scheduled to start October 19th (the date that is circled on the calendar in the first teaser)

This video by Paulie explains the teasers thoroughly but it gets very spoiler-y for the lore that is going to be revealed throughout the event, so if you want to be surprised during the days the DBD event is going on just trust me it has nothing to do with a plague doctor. If you want to see for yourself, skip to about 7:09

When it comes to my personal opinion, I used to think that a plague doctor would be a great idea but now not so much anymore. The reason being we already have a bunch of killers who fill the plague doctor's role, we have the Nurse, we have the Doctor and even though he's not a medical doctor he's still there. If a plague doctor was going to be put in I thought that he'd have an ability to do something with poisonous gas, or lethal disease or something, but we already have the Clown who fills that role with his ability he has Gas bottles which already disorient the survivor.

It just doesn't seem to me like there's much room for him anymore, and when it comes to original killers, I'd much rather move on and get entirely new and completely different and unique characters than the sort of slight variation that comes with Doctor vs. plague doctor which is really just "oh man, he's a doctor, but this guy, he's a different kind of doctor more in the medical field" or Nurse vs. plague doctor which is really just "oh man, they're both technically medical personnel gone insane, but hey, this guy's a doctor and she's a nurse!"

I feel like I rambled at the end there, but I'm sure you get what I mean. Plague doctor in my opinion just isn't different and unique enough from certain other characters in our current cast to be put in, even though it would be cool to have him in the roster.
