Are there any shard discounts happening time to time for characters?
Every character is 9000 shards for example, do shard cost ever gets a discount?

nope there was never such a thing ever (still tho im not really sure hehe) but in anniversary they give some Iridescent Shards for free when u log in and shrine of secrets costs is reduced !! so give em money ... money money give me some too :D

I swear not long ago I bought Deathslinger for 6700 shards instead of 9000. It was on discount and I didn't even know about it.
I suggest to take a look on the in-game store everytime you play, as I do.

They do. Usually, characters involved in the current tome/rift are discounted. Like, right now you can get the Twins for 4500 Iridescent Shards or 250 Auric Cells. There's also a Golden Week sale going on, but I'm not sure if it's for both currencies because I can't see a price since I own all the characters involved.

I suppose there are secret sales from time to time, as such, I happened to obtain the Trickster for 6700 irides. as well, I believe the Clown was part of the sale too, so 3 random killers were on sale, I believe 3 random survivors were on sale as well.

Very rarely there are Character sales on iri aswell
The best bet for those to take place is during Halloween or
the birthday event.
So waiting at least for the birthday event is nice since leveling during the
event is also profitable in cakes!

The rift sales for designated characters only take place at the very start of a
new rift and also only if the rift features characters that are not too new.
For example this rift featured the newest chapter, therefore there was no shard sale.
