The Retcon of Legion's Susie... Why?
Reading some of the descriptions for her cosmetics....who is this character?

Her cosmetic descriptions make her out to be this bloodthirsty person when her DEFINING TRAIT in The Legion's backstory is that she is not as violent and was forced to help the group kill someone by Frank. It easily made her the most complex and interesting character in the Legion in my opinion, and it helped strengthen their backstory's themes surrounding peer pressure and teen angst.

Now, there is no trace of that complexity to be found. Susie is retconned to be just as violent as the rest of her crew, which in turn removes her most important character trait (and she only had about 3 character traits to begin with, soooo she's just kind of bland without the whole "not as crazy" schtick she initially had going for her).

Honestly, this *could* be fixed, but I think they changed it because they don't want to put in the effort explaining how Susie eventually became so ruthless.

Just give Susie a Tome entry that takes place *directly after* The Legion enters the Entity's realm. At this point, Susie is a scared, confused girl realizing that her "friends" have essentially doomed her to endless murders that she doesn't want to commit. Even Julie, who she trusted more than any of them. Perhaps Susie had been planning to desert her crew and head to the police, but they forced her up to Mount Ormond to bury their victim's body before the Entity took them. This could further add to the regret and anger she feels towards them.

Maybe her first trial is an absolute mess. She meets Jeff and recognizes him as the guy Frank commissioned for their Legion logo. She is unable to hurt him (or any of the others) due to their connection, especially since they both share a passion for art.

For this failure, Susie is punished by the Entity and taunted by her friends. The Survivors see her trying to resist. Maybe they even try to talk to her or help her in some way, but she is eventually broken completely and *then* becomes the remorseless girl she got retconned into. Extra despair and angst for both her and the Survivors who watched her descend into madness and realized that even some of the Killers are just as unwilling and tortured as they are. In the Entity's realm, nobody wins except the Entity itself.

At the end, it still ties into the initial lore's theme of peer pressure because Susie loses her identity completely and enjoys the destruction and madness as much as her "friends" do.

This isn't perfect, but it's better than ridding her of her biggest character trait with no explanation :/ Way to waste a potentially interesting character, BHVR :(

Hopefully they at least do *something* with her character that makes her feel more natural and less like 2 completely different characters based on what you happen to be reading about her at the time.

What do y'all think?

the lore for her cosmetics are so off I just assumed BHVR was running with their "alternate universe versions of every character are present within the entity" thing lol

Lore means nothing, they made David King gay when he was straight originally. The fog does funny things to people.

I like to just pretend each cosmetic is an alternate universe version of that Character. Makes me not think about the retcon as much

He was *never* originally straight, it was just left up to interpretation. YES, he had a girlfriend established previously, but this did not make him 100% straight. He could have just as easily been Bisexual or (as it turns out) in the closet dating a woman, both of which are quite common.

I thought they all become ruthless killers and forget everything about their human side and the past once the fog takes them
