(I agree with you tho, looking back at those days, DbD was a true nightmare for killers)
Son, old Wretched shop and Coal Tower would like to have a word with you.
I remember everything :)
On a side note, it was a totally different game back then.
Edit: it FEELS like it was a totally different game.
Until people understood infinite window loops were possible.. people complain like it is as bad as it was back then, and to most experienced players, make themselves look like a bunch of whiny morons.
When Killer mains complained over the last ranking system (the kills required to pip) it was pretty laughable.. that system should have stayed.
NOED used to be permanent. There also used to be long enough loops with enough pallets that once all the gens were done you could go around another 5 mins before you'd go down.
I do, yeah. He had to cloak in the beginning of the game. I will never forget my first game as a Wraith, I did not know how cloaking works and was visible the whole game, wondering why can't I see survivors >__< Turned out I just did not press M2 till the end.
He also got the most points of them all, simply by smacking people on the hook multiple times.
Trapper used to be high tier since he was the only one to counter infinites. And I am talking about real infinites, not poorly executed shack/jungle gyms chases.
I play Trapper though, have some quite good games with him, using unconditional builds.
Yes, it is very possible. No need in lunge even.
So this is what you got as survivor:

And many, many, many, many more instances.
Before the Victory Cube came out, by the way, I played almost exclusively survivor for over a year, and guess how many facecampers I came across? Pretty damn close to zero. (Trappers who trapped under hooks, on the other hand... but that's a whole other problem.) The Victory Cube literally created this problem. And thank goodness the devs got rid of it. The emblem system isn't perfect, by any means, but it can't be worse than the VC. Heck, NOTHING can be worse than the VC, since it rewarded not playing the game.
