Why are there Birds over my head?
What does this exactly mean when Birds fly over your head, in a situation like this?
Anything i can do to avoid it?
Who's at fault here?

That only happens when you are standing on the same spot for too long, after some time the killer will get a notification.

Just keep moving and you are good to go.

Game thinks you were not doing anything. Probably because you weren't doing anything. Those are there to stop people going AFK in a hiding place all match by leading the killer to you.

Killer doesn't get a "notification" but can see the birds and put two and two together. Birds will appear also if you're inside a closet for too long.

If killer runs "spies from the shadows" perk, he gets a notification when survivor scares the crows. Thats about it.

Nah man, if you got at least 3 crows over your head the killer gets a notification.
https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Crows: [Up to three Stillness Crows can appear unless the Survivor moves away from the area they were in or starts performing interactions. The third Stillness Crow will give the Killer a noise indicator to the Survivor's precise location.]

just to clarify - it is not only staying on the same spot, but: moving within a 5 meters... so you need to move a larger distance than 5 meters to avoid crows from appearing

Hmm, I guess I've never seen stillness crows then in my 300ish hours of playing a killer... Lot of survivors play like they are on amfetamine. ..
