Dead by Daylight

A casual killer telling everyone to chase hooks not kills.
Remember you're host to 4 other people trying to have a good time. You're not going to do any worse by going after someone else after you hooked a person twice. It's more fun for you because it's the best way to maximize each match BP wise and Pip wise, while also making the game more enjoyable for everyone else in the lobby.

From the responses on this board I can tell killers are tortured at this point. Toxic survivors are toxic regardless of whether you're toxic back to them. You are not going to make the situation better by camping them, you're gonna enforce their toxicity. You can get 8 hooks, kill noone, and still get a pip up to gold.

Camping is suboptimal because you literally remove yourself from the rest of the map by sticking to the hooked survivor. Good survivors will capitalize on that and do as many gens as they can before coming over and rescuing the person on the hook, which you CAN'T STOP because DS and BT exist. Your only option is to leave the hook, go stop them from working gens, and come back after they've rescued and hit the rescuer to replace them on the hook.

Tunneling is suboptimal because if the person you're tunneling is good enough to loop you for the entire game, you lose. If they aren't and you do happen to get them You're risking DS and the rest of the game understanding the situation and letting them die for gens.

The way you play by maximizing the length of games will be improved by you getting more and more chase knowledge and how to deal with certain loops as each of the different killers.

You can pay for others to have fun, i paid for me to have fun. Once you get all BPs and completed every achievement and archive there is nothing else to do but speedrunning as many kills as possible.
That or dying on first hook in solo survivor, or wasting time meeting people that can't handle their own feelings to have a chance to start a SWF.

Do you think I am some paid actor at a theme park? Your fun isn't my issue and if you can't have fun unless you have some special goldilocks game, that's not my issue. I do not care if you're having fun and I doubt you care if I am. Sorry, not sorry. This is a PVP game. Not a co-op game. If you can't handle PVP then play something else. It's also really really weird how survivors have this bizarre mindset that the killer tunneling/camping them is "toxic" and they're trying to somehow get at the survivor player. No, genius, it's a game we're trying to win. I don't care if you're crying behind the monitor. I'm trying to win my match. Meanwhile if they tbag they'll tell you "not to take it so seriously" despite it generally not having any game use.

I'm just honestly sick of survivor mains asking for the moon while killers still beg for basic crap and cannot must sympathy any longer.

I always try to play fair and nice, I don't tunnel off hook or camp (unless they are very toxic) and try to have a fun match. Of course you win some and you lose some but you know what I get for going out of my way to let the unhooked person keep playing the game rather than tunnelling them when I easily could?

BM, spam vaulted, clicked at and teabagged at the exit.

So often I end up regretting being nice and fair as I get nothing but disrespect for it. So if you want to know why 'nice' killers finally crack and stop being nice, look at the pathetic conduct of many survivors.

Oh I am a survivor main too btw but I know how miserable and frustrating killer often is.
i been playing nice since i played this game. havent regret it at all. 9/10 games were non toxic, try hards.

i enjoy this and others do to, the amount of nice commets i gotten after game, makes me happy.

1. Killers aren't hosts and don't owe survivors anything.

2. If you believe that leaving one more person alive to do gens means not losing anything (apart from MMR) then you have to raise your MMR first and go against efficient survivors who don't aimlessly run around 50% of the time and do gens.

Trust me, playing nice won't win you anything apart from t bags at the exit gate.

LMAO nah, the only ones getting Tbagged are the camping ones. Nice try tho.
Well sadly most survivors t bag every killer it doesnt count how you play if you win you will be acussed of hacking, camping, slugging everything because almost all survivors are just toxic

Funny thing is, if you play survivor, it's very rare to see someone teabagging.
I would do that, but somehow getting 26k points is considered a loss

I almost never see anyone teabagging, not even at the exit.
Casual Stoner player here that enjoys both roles.

My approach to killer is to come at the survivors full force and not go easy on them till I get a feel for the match. If they are obviously being completely overwhelmed and just rolling over dead, not giving me good chases I get them to death hook and then just continually slug them when I find them.

Stronger players, or players who are playing obnoxiously with the tbags and the clicking don't get any wiggle room(against stronger players you cant afford it) they want hard mode and they get it.

But with the MMR as JANKY as it is and my Degenerate hours I play I get a lot of babies who are sub 100 hours in this game. The Last thing I want to do is bully them out of the match and leave them with only 5k points after they probably waited in a Q for 5-10mins. I do kill them though, Don't want to inflate their MMR and decrease mine by letting them go. This whole only kills/escapes system being the only thing that matters is silly but that's a different topic.

Within a day, I felt like I was unintentionally bullying lower ranked survivors or had to pull too many punches to keep things fun for myself. It turns out, I really need the sweaty SWF lobbies to keep me on my toes when I play certain killers to have fun.

See this is why I actually like MMR. I can play within the survivor rulebook and still get good, competitive matches. It's a win win.

I just gotta remind myself to actually follow those rules consistently or it becomes a stomp real fast.

Playing for eight hooks before killing anyone while following the survivors' handbook is fun on a lot of killers and I'll always have a handful that I'll only play that way. I'm a Deathslinger main and have the most fun running a setup that lives or dies by keeping two to three people on a hook, slugged, and/or in a chase at all times. When I tried playing him consistently for eight hooks before killing anyone, I ended up feeling like my MMR dropped to a point I was in a shooting gallery and players that forced me to improve my game were rare. I'm really glad MMR is per killer and not per account. It's not perfect, especially at times when survivor queue times are 5-10 minutes long, but it's definitely better than nothing.
