its not to "cancel" a grab. Its to get you to hit them, so you cant grab and so they can unhook the other person while youre recovering from the hit.
The other thing is, you can be too close and swing through the unhooker and hit the person on the hook, and that hit wont count for anything. You have to make sure you hit the unhooking person and not the person on the hook when youre in close.
It is exactly what he means by "cancel the grab", he means the survivor denies the grab.
You dont do it do "cancel" the grab, you do it to GET HIT.
- conection iseus
- cancel (the interaction of unhooking doesnt lock you in)
- to much distance
Correction, they don't usually get a free rescue instead it's more of a self sacrifice as the killer has just enough time to recoperate from the first attack to down the rescuer. it most certainly comes with a price and is not free
You precisely do it to deny the grab. What's the point of getting hit ? The whole point is to deny the grab.
Fair
Denying the grab is NOT "cancelling" the grab. Cancelling a grab would require you to play in that specific latency range where the killer actually thinks they got the grab, which you wouldnt know anyway.
You bait the hit so you CANT be grabbed, so you CAN unhook.
I do not try to "cancel a grab". No one I know has ever played to "cancel a grab".
You play that to "bait a hit".
Dont really care if you think its pedantic; its correct.
Source: I do it quite often.
