Why can't i ever play as the "killer"

Like seriously , been playing this for hours on end on epic- games unable to find one game as the killer , i thought it was a issue cause off crossplay so i just bought it on steam nothing happens it can take 25 minutes and still unable to find a game trying to play the "killer" for once. Meanwhile if im just a survivor i find a game in 5 seconds.

Unusual as for the majority it is harder to find survivor games. But I am guessing that because you are on Epic you are one of thousands of new killers so the baby killer queue is pretty full. I know I have been versing more baby killers than I have seen in a very long time...

i bought it also on steam , i thought the servers where not shared even with crossplay on but same thing here on steam.

Well the only other thing could be the time of day you are playing, from like 3:30am on into the day light normal person hours killer queues can be slow at all levels but peak hours are pretty much always long waits for survivor.

Other than that, I don't know as your experience isn't the usual.

Queue times can shift dramatically throughout the day and vary by region, but anywhere, at any time, it's rare to see something as high as 25 minutes. You sure you aren't exaggerating? Because that definitely feels like something is wrong like crossplay.

Listening for the ambient noise to stop for a moment lets me know when a game is found so I'm free to watch YouTube or Twitch or something while waiting. If you don't already do that I highly recommend it because like Smelyis said especially for survivor at this time the waits are typically quite long.

Maybe it's your location combined with the time of day. If my killer queue hits a minute I feel like it's been a long time.

if you havent played killer then the game is probably struggling to find players who match close to your mmr. Add in time of day it makes it even harder. Just leave it on searching. A couple of my friends have started playing cos of epic and they cannot find games as killer either and they prefer trying to play killer because they cant hit skill checks, so maybe youre competing with others doing the same.
I know one of them said they sat there for almost 37mins and she finally got a game. All her killer games have taken around that time, so until you guys get a few kills itll prob be like that for a while cos there more players floating around just a bit higher than youre currently sitting MMR wise

Matchmaking in this game was almost bad, no matter what role you play as.
I played games with 100 players total and finding a match was much faster there.
