DBD in comparison to VHS

I checked some Twitch streamers playing the game now in Beta and it's not something I am attracted to, like the game itself.

I will play the beta to get a closer look but I'm unsure if it's a game for me.

What do you think, did you play?

It looks "ok".

I seriously doubt it will be a dbd killer as a lot of people seem to indicate.

People hyped up resident evil versus and said it was going to kill dbd.

I Don't think VHS is trying to be like dbd its kinda its own thing looks really fun though, can't wait for the release date

The game doesnt take itself seriously enough to be competition.
As it is it is designed as a bite of the market.
It wont survive as a continued service.

Legit I believe DB The Breakers is more competition than VHS is. VHS is lucky to get like 10k views on youtube for its trailers and videos. DB has a massive fanbase.

It is like different version of "last year". Active players will decline very shortly after streamer-hype ends. I give it maybe 8 months after release to drop down to ~1-4k players.

Why does VHS have to kill DBD? ... Can't they both exist and thrive like other game genres? I mean there's a billion FPS games.. they don't kill each other... We need competion in the 4v1 asymmetrical genre so maybe BHVR will fix the issues in DBD.

It seems more for under 18s. The artwork/colour style ruins it for me. Reminds me of fortnight, they should of gone more boarderlands. And how your always chasing teens, Im 30 something and would rather not.

DBD has established itself as the most popular game in the genre. It's good that it has competition but after watching VHS and prop gameplay neither of them seem to have the same tone or vibe that DBD gives that I like.
