propnight looks like the one that will make dbd improve, cause it really looks like a worthy oponent, prophunt was pretty popular in gmod, combine it with dbd it's just awesome, a bit more fresh look on the game which (I hope) eliminates the issues of being forever looped\tunneled. looks a lot more fun
Finally Dbd is just at its core closer to the basic idea of horror which is hide and seek with Horror flavor.
So both competitors probably won't kill Dbd, but it will open the market to more variety.
VHS = Nothing like DbD (You don't repair gens, you build weapons, you don't hide from killer, you fight him... It's a kill or be killed game. Might as well play Evolve or one of the other games of that genre that aren't doing so well, or some of those that completely shut down)
Propnight is at least "similar" to DbD, you have a killer hunting survivors and the survivors have to start "propmachines" to escape. But honestly it looks weird, what's with all the "stuff" flying around. Coins coming out of the killer when you take a picture of him? Sounds more arcade then scary.
The other thing that DbD has that neither of those games have are licensed characters. I enjoy playing The Nightmare and the Demogorgon.
So neither will end DbD, if anything both of those will die like many other games before them. VHS = Death Garden (dead). Propnight = Weird arcade version of DbD, cool if you like that sort of thing.
ive never tried VHS though, so idk much about it
The only game that can end DbD... is DbD. Not an impossible feat, mind you.
