What am I supposed to do about the new Boil Over?
Survivors keep exploiting its poor design by running up to 2nd floors so I can't get any hook on them. Then I can't even bleed them out because their whole team comes in for the save.

I haven't encountered this Boiled Over yet. Prob to low in MMR. When I encounter it I plan to deal with it like so. Step 1 after downing the survivor on 2nd floor you pick them up. Step 2 you drop down and reward them with 25%. Seems silly I know. Step 3 is very important, you DROP the survivor. Step 4 now you let them bleed out and camp that body.Step 5 If a teammate gets them up or they use unbreakable you are in a good position to knock em down. Step 6 pick up and ez hook.
Caution: This will make survivors mad at you for not following the rule book. It does say rule 5698 that when any survivors are using boil over the killer must allow them the chance to wiggle off at all times regardless of the situation the killer finds themselves in
If survivors wanna abuse something that the devs never tested and flex on killers then I will play the toxic game right back

Is it just he new perk? Or is it the perk in conjunction with the new Beta Wiggle feature?
Genuinely asking; I've noticed the same things. I've had survivors wiggle off in a matter of seconds.

The perk rewards 25% wiggle progress when the killer drops down from a height. Some locations can be abused to get 50% total wiggle progress from 2 drops before a hook can be reached

Just saw the perk in action. I play survior but gotta say, I can't blame any killer for doing what you suggest. That perk is just way too broken

Yeah... unfortunately the answer is to slug and either move on, or if the game environment allows, hang out near the body.

We'll see the No Mither, Boil Over, Boon: Exponential crowds soon enough, and entity help us all

I could say that perk is the only thing to increase intensity of the struggle to wriggle when carried by the killer by the several percent and to obscure the aura of all hooks to make the killers harder to locate from pick-up location. And also increases Wiggle meter when falling from great heights upon landing to make it much easier to break free from the killer's grasp. And also Breakout perk from Yui Kimura can make them wiggling faster to break them free from the killer's grasp if it's working with Boil Over perk. Just team up with your friends wisely when teaming up against other killers in the future.

The new beta wiggle liberates you a second earlier than before if you land all the greats for what i understand, so its mostly boil over and that ridiculous 25% they pulled out of their ass.

wiggle is fine, you should be rewarded for great skill checks - i haven't experienced the 25% from drops yet (been playing survivor) but it does sound very abusable (also easily fixable with a hotpatch)

It's not a bug, it's sadly intended behaviour from the buff.
You can't even, let's say, position yourself laterally to a mandatory fall and drop the survivor so that he falls on the lower ground since dropping a survivor as well fills wiggle bar by 25%.

Abandon 2-floor buildings? Boil Over only works well with other 2-3 specific perks together and only if there is an actuall elevation. Having it means they lack slots for healing boons, DS and maybe even exhaustion perk. Besides, lately too many players cryed about same meta perks taken in every match - now we have wider variation, which is good.

Also you can use Pyramid's cage, Plague's spew, throwing hatchets and play around snailing.

Would be nice to see how 99% winrate streamers gonna deal with it.

Play Pyramidhead and send everyone to cages instead? Probably the best workaround, since slugging takes too long.

Nice bait, there's always hooks on each floor so the perk should never be a problem. Maybe people on controllers will have issues with since they struggle to hook normally.

Given you're a forum salt miner but factually wrong on quite a few maps.

I didn't hear of this before now. I'm gonna try and test it.

Have you ever played on Crotus Prenn? All the hooks are outside or in the basement.
