Some experienced survivors can regularly hit Greats, and will wait to see the exact moment you start an attack animation to Dead Hard.
I am aware that Auto Dead Hard exists, but without proof, I boil it down to my own paranoia when I see something like that happen when I'm Killer.
You can actually tease out when someone has auto dead hard vs not. If you swing short on purpose knowing you will miss by a sliver a person will almost certainly deadhard but autodead hard will not.
People are playing this game as if they are robots who are always 50% around the obstacle from the killer on a loop.
When you consider that it only took about a year and a half to have amazing Diablo bot scripting it should come as a surprise to no one that people have at least partially automated DBD since we are over half way finished with this game's fifth year.
As for great skill checks - Once upon a time when hex ruin was great skill check or lose progress I know I made at least 74 great skill checks in a row. I always get about 10 per game and it bothers me that some people cant do that as I have massively more time on killer. It used to give 2.4 seconds per check but 1.2 per check still matters.
I dunno if auto skillchecks are thing, but DH definitely has that. Survivors that hold DH for 10-20 seconds against Wraith or Doc(killers that can fake hitting) right on their tail only to finally DH when actual hit comes all 3 chases. No human is going to have that kind of patience nor reaction time.
