Tell me you're brand new to DbD without telling me you're brand new to DbD.
Huntress is slower than most Killers.
Ah yes I remember this "fix"
That was the time where you could never hit survivors during vaults or when they were crouched, or on gens, or at pallets, or doing literally anything because your hatchets would just go straight through them without registering the hit
People did not stop playing her because it was harder to hit hatchets. They stopped because it was virtually impossible to hit survivors with hatchets.
All you need to do to counter any Huntress is figure out where she is coming from and run away for as long as possible without looping. While running away, just try to make yourself difficult to hit by blocking line of sight between you and her.
1. The hitbox with her hatchets should have been what got the "rewind" treatment - not pallets or DH.
2. She should have a weapon cooldown whenever she deals damage (meaning hitting with a hatchet would give her a 3 second cooldown as if she had used a M1 attack.)
As for the hatchet hit box changes, it would be too difficult to land her ranged attack for anyone, most of Huntress gameplay revolves around mindgames and predicting movements; survivors already have a large enough amount of dodging options as is (slight dodge to either side, wide dodge to either side, crouch, no dodge attempt, Dead Hard). Plus, don’t forget how bad the net code in this game is already; Hatchets explode upon hitting survivors and don’t cause any damage sometimes.
Tell me, how would someone have the ability to figure out where exactly the survivor will dodge, where exactly the hatchet will hit, when exactly the survivor will dodge, and where exactly the survivor will make contact with the hatchet? All of these need to be done on prediction unless you have almost perfect reaction time and flick practice. Even then, it would be too inconsistent even for the best players. A lot of people dropped huntress when she had those temporary hit box changes already, what makes you think they won’t again? The only solution to one of these problems is using external software or methods to add a crosshair to the center of your screen.
They're telling you to learn how to be a meme-able shiba inu, not dodge.
