black bars on the top of the screen and also the bottom of the screen in game

i believe it's got something to do with resolution? My screen resolution is 1440 x 900 , anyway i can fix this ? Before sadako update there weren't any black bars at all .

Same issue here, those black bars only appear during rounds so I assume it's linked to the "16:9 aspect ratio" option, but turning it on or off doesn't seem to change anything. Is it broken..?

The game has a locked horizontal field of view (aside from perks changing it).

Due to playerbase complaining about unfair advantage of the unrestricted vertical field of view, the developer has put in letterboxing for aspect ratios with a higher vertical ratio than 16:9

If you hear references to "stretched res" this is a gamer term coined for this advantage.

This is unfortunately a game design choice, you won't be able to change this until the developer decides to make field of view an accessibility option instead of a game mechanic.

I have monitor 16:10 , i play fullScreen always , and now , i have black bars up and down.
Devs , please find better solution for this current solution which exist how.
