Scourge Hook Perks Are Bad For DBD

I have been playing with and against Scourge Hook perks since devs released the first one and i dont understand why devs added a new type of killer perk to the game. I mean, hexes were strong enough so i dont think they needed to add scourge hook perks. The main issue i have with these perks is how they reward killers for doing something thats so easy to do, hooking survivors. Let me explain why hooking survivors is easy; A killer can easily down survivors by using the right strategies and mind games. Therefore hooking survivors isnt hard which also means that scourge hook perks get triggered way too often when survivors play against good killers. Especially the ''gen defence'' scourge perk (Artist's teachable) is too oppressive. Basically, they added another perk that rewards killers for their non-skillful plays.

How hard is it for you (in general) to hop off a gen for a few seconds and let the killer hook the survivor so that pain resonance doesn't trigger followed by dead man's switch and then keep repairing the gen? And if the killer comes towards the gen, you'll be getting chased anyways - see? Quoting yourself, there is a simple counter to that combo. I don't know why I even bother tho - your profile is full of -rep camper tunneler but you claim getting hooks is so easy, I swear if it was anyone other than you posting these, they would've been banned in a heartbeat

Scourge hook was literally the ONLY way for me to get to iri 1 killer this season. Healing is fast, adding boons and kits on top of it. I used it instead of butcher with better success.

Tell us why not then. Nothing in the OP suggested the weren't okay. Scourge hooks are random, so rewarding people for hooking isn't bad. Hexes had to be strong to be at all worth while, since half the time they are down in the first 2 minutes. Hooking survivors can be very difficult, want to prove otherwise? Video evidence of not potatos please!

You really didn't. You told us how it was easy, not explaining what was actually wrong with the perk and why it needs to be removed. If you're going to bait post, at least make it somewhat reasonable and not low-effort and maybe you'll earn some more clown rewards to post on your profile.

Okay! And when all the remaining Survivors have recently been unhooked due to the last one hook-bombing with Dead Hard to protect their basement unhooks, I'm meant to simply watch all of them walk out, yes?
