Instant Full Pentimento Hex Build

Hex: Ruin
Hex: Pentimento
Hex: Devour Hope

These will be the base Hex build to use for the match. Once you have these equipped take:

Hex: Haunted ground

Using this method you will have three lit totems from Ruin, Pentimento, and Devour Hope. The last one, you'll want to use Haunted ground. Haunted ground plants two lit totems on the map.

This will result in all five possible totem placements to start instantly protected with the survivors having no way of cleansing them.

I just thought of this , but haven't tried it out since I don't have Pentimento.

Pentimento doesnt start lit. It is talking about after a totem (dull or hex) is cleansed you can reignite it into pentimento.

I don't think you quite understand what pentimento does. It doesn't protect your totem when 5 hexes are active, and pentimento isn't started as a lit totem. You have to rekindle broken totems, and those totems are given pentimento's abilities, depending on how many you rekindled. When all 5 totems are broken, and rekindled with pentimento, then they are protected and can't be cleansed again.

But the killer can't break totems, so isn't it kinda rng for the survs to cleanse them?

Yes. That is why it is so strong if you get to 5 stacks. Because that never, ever happens.

is it correct that during Artist ptb, pentimento also reenabled the properties of the hex totem it was standing on? like, by relitting the totem you also reenable the hex ruin, too?
but after the ptb they removed that and only the properties of the pentimento itself are getting enabled on this totem?

completely countered by boons, if you want a full hex build thats more resistant, you should probably use either retribution or thril of the hunt as well on a killer with high mobility, cuz the survivors are gonna be rushing to cleanse these every second they can...

Plaything forces them to break totems, and the rest is rng. But Pentimento does a great job even with one relit.
