Killer has not been fun for years. It's very stressful compared to survivor and incredibly unbalanced the second you play against a SWF team (which was statistically ~84% of games last time they did the survey).
Like right now, survivors can just instantly heal. There are no counters to boons. You can't destroy them as killer. Why? Skins.
You want to play a stealth killer? Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself - Spinechill.

It's unbalanced and goes toward one extreme. 90% of the matches are either... killer gets 4K or ALL survivors escape. It doesn't feel balanced. It should be difficult for all four survivors to escape and for the killer to get 4 kills. Closing the hatch was a bad mistake. There's nothing wrong with ONE survivor getting out. I had no issue as killer when one survivor escaped. It makes sense. It should be a challenge, as killer, to kill everyone.
They also need to get more creative and stop thinking new killers = more fun. I'm tired of these new killers that NOBODY plays. Literally... The Ring JUST released... and I've gone against her... maybe... 4 times. Friends and I just played against Bubba 3x in a row, Blight, and now Trapper. People like the older killers because the newer ones... are just a rehash of previous killers, but combining their abilities slightly. They need to work on something DIFFERENT.
New match objectives would be nice. What I loved about Friday the 13th was how you could escape multiple ways. Just add something new. Yes, we still can escape by firing up gens... but maybe an additional objective would be for survivors to all go around and gather an item... if all four get part of that item... they meet up, craft it together, and they have another way to escape. Just... SOMETHING different. New killers are adding NOTHING new to the game...
It's just boring and broken anymore... and the devs don't care. They don't actively communicate with the community, ignore us, focus on putting out cosmetic items constantly, and do updates nobody wants. Even their team is toxic with the way they talk about their players and community. It's just sad, and I truly hope this game and team goes under. Of course... once that starts to happen... they'll get all fake and "care" about us again... and start listening. It's sad.
I mean... in July 2021 they gained 13K new players. They then LOST 11K the next month? Why... because a MAJORITY of the new players they got realized it was a sh@t game... and left. Sept they had a slight pathetic jump in players and have been dropping steadily since October. Also... they JUST released a new killer... and they STILL lost around 2000 players LMAO
Litany of bugs that take forever to get fixed.
Unpopular MMR changes.
Out of touch dev team (look at Patricks comments on MMR).
Complete lack of QoL items. It took 4 years for colorblind support and it was only after a community uproar + negative media coverage did they add it. Of course they lied and said it was "in the works" before the controversy started and provided no evidence other than some screenshots which could have easily been photoshopped.
Excessive grind to fulfill that Skinner's Box mentality, its mobile like gameplay.
Lack of innovation. There could be weekly or monthly game modes.
SWF is imbalanced for killers. Only bad SWFs or people clowning will disagree.
Peopel keep saying the game is dying but its doing just fine, 24k at around midnight central is plenty of players.
For me, I play significantly less towards the end of the pass. I played way more than average to finish it, so by the end I'm just sick of DbD.
This isn't a game to be played for hours on end unless you're getting paid to tbh. At least not if you value your mental health and time.
ohh and that its a dog shait Anti-cheat.... a free-for-devs one.
