Killer mains, how do you handle TTVers in your lobby?

I turned crossplay back on a few weeks ago, so I've been seeing a lot of TTVers in my lobbies. I rarely ever saw them on PS4 only. At first, I didn't really mind them because my matches were going okayish and they weren't doing anything toxic. If I remembered to, I would check out the VOD later for their perspective on the match.

Recently though, I've been encountering some obnoxious and toxic TTVers. I played one match where I was Deathslinger and the streamer doesn't like playing against Deathslinger, so he spent the whole match calling me homophobic slurs on his stream. Just last night I got matched up with advertised 8,000 hours multiple TTV Object of Obsession SWF. I was playing as Plague and got The Game unfortunately. I got my first hook just as the last gen was completed. I obviously had no chance of securing that kill, so they all escaped. I looked at their stream and they were laughing at me and talking ♥♥♥♥ that I "failed at camping" at the end and only got one hook, like that was a fair match anyways on The Game. You can't really even use your power as Plague on that map. Whatever. But I realized as they were raucously laughing at me that I'm just not comfortable with having my play judged by people putting content on Twitch or YouTube, so I think I'm just going to go ahead and completely dodge them from now on. Anyone else feel this way? Do you alter your play or anything when going against TTVers? Just wondering

depends on what map i get. dusty saloon i like to go insidious in that one room upstairs as trapper, and do nothing else but lie in wait. at least 2 people end up bleeding out in that room lol.

How I handle streamer? The easiest way: I play normal XD

Why do you even go to check them out? You're giving them views and upping their active chat numbers. Just play like they're non streamers. Whilst they ♥♥♥♥ talk you like dumbasses on a streaming service they'll never get big on because of their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attitude, you'll actually get better at killer with each game.

Those sad individuals that put "TTV" in their name are unskilled noobs. Skilled streamers either use their brand name or choose random names so they don't get recognized in game.

The only challenge noob TTVs present is when they play SWF+comms with their sycophant followers, and even that can be often used to your advantage - if you manage to hook the streamer, his minions will forget about the gens and start running around the hook giving you free hits.


As far as their toxic comments are concerned, just ignore them. Had a funny encounter this week with some German streaming lady. I was doing a Huntress daily when I saw 3 TTV blendettes and a Dwight in the lobby (key + 3 flashlights + cornfield offering...)

Long story short, brought a Mori, Claudettes got Claudead, Dwight got slugged and left to bleed out as a punishment for excessive flashlight clicking.

Obviously got accused of stream sniping since, according to them, there is no way I could have found them on the map (i was using Spies From The Shadows + Bitter Murmur to locate them xD)


Decided to take a look at the channel afterwards and it was as bad as I have imagined - same 4 sad individuals using flashlights + key + comms every game. If they are losing they accuse the killer of cheating, if they are winning they are laughing about how bad the killer is. 0 cognitive dissonance for using comms exploit; 5 viewers in total... Started to feel bad for killing them tbh...

So yeah, IMHO, don't dodge the TTVs - if they are bad you get a chance to humiliate them in front of their tiny audiences, if they are good - you get a chance to learn a few things, get better and then humiliate them next time.

Just don't forget to bring a Mori.

nah I do not alter my playstyle. Most of the time I will however watch the match from their perspective via VOD if one is available.

I pretty much play the same, I adjust my playstyle based on how the survivors behave and play in the match. Rushing gens? Fine no free unhooks and rather a playstyle some people call toxic.

Not every ttver or youtuber uses a name that will notify you that they do stream. I had games against a german streamer, since i am german too and we had a funny discussion about the game etc so we got along well and now i am part of the community.

People who talk trash are you know biased, they only see their own point of view and you are not going to change that. Afaik all really good players in dbd can play both sides and do so frequently.

Honestly I don't care they have TTV in there name just another player. Although been accused of stream sniping which kinda annoys me do they honestly think i care that much to go out my way to go there channel yeah no.

I just leave the lobby and quickly swap to bubba and it usually gets me against the same TTV if done quick enough, then i just facecamp them.

Or, I just dodge the lobby, if I don't feel like being the victim of witchhunt..

I saw some in my recent games. I'm not skilled killer much (31 hours played 20 of them I got by these two days, come on). And I found some of these TTV-whatever players. All they do is crap-talking and that's it. For camp and tunnel, of course, which is a literally part of a game. Like gen-rush, on the other hand. I don't think they do understand the concept of this game. You can always find them doing some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ posting in your comments section under your profile because that's all they can do I guess?

Also lots of survivors (not only TTV-trash players) just wanna sleep with your mother just for killing them (especially if you do "camping"). People played hell-lot more than me and they just don't understand what they even doing or writing. All survivors must have a brain damage (from Doctor, lol) or smth.

I don't, lol. I delete all of the comments and adding them to blacklist (aw god this must be harmful to their hearts because this is the point of their lives - do ♥♥♥♥ in comments). I usually not communicate with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because... there is no point.
