If we're lucky (hah) it might in the future. it's something they've been thinking about.
Base chance for unhooking is 4%
the jar of salty lips only adds 3% so it's only really effective if you stack multiple of them as a team and maybe even use up the ante.
the only way you'll get a 100% chance to unhook yourself is with the perk Deliverance. But you need to save someone from a hook first for it to activate.
With that percentage it would be 12% chance of unhooking yourself if all 4 of you brought Vigos. If you want perks that benefit the 12% then something like Up The Ante, Slippery Meat and Deliverance would back it up (though I think Deliverance is 100%). If every survivor runs Up The Ante with Vigo Jars that would be a 24% chance to kobe if I'm not mistaken.
Up the Ante at tier 3 adds 9% luck if every survivor is still alive. So, if all 4 survivors run it that alone would be 36% extra luck.
4 jars would be 12% extra luck.
With the base percentage of 4% that would mean you'd have a 52% chance of unhooking yourself.
There we go, thanks for the maths since I wasn't too sure if I was right or not.
