The new "Joke" bloodpoint code sums up DbD/BhVR right about now

In case you don't know, Bhvr just released another "Joke" bloodpoint code (WITCHPLEASE) that awards 1 single bloodpoint. It sums up the overwhelming tone-deafness of bhvr and the general state of the game right now pretty well:

-Ongoing backlash over involvement with NFTs
-Disastrous new DLC launch full of bugs and one of the new perks has to be immediately killswitched because of said bugs
-Rise in cheaters/cheaters holding games hostage with total radio silence on the problem

BHVR is getting bold.

I don't like joke codes in general because they're corny, but yeah it's especially bad within the context of this game.

Disabled perks and significant bugs every new chapter should not be the norm, especially over 5 years into the game and for paid DLC no less.

They wanted to dip their toes in some NFT and got railed at and review bombed for it. Plus with their overall handling of other issues being so heavily criticized I’m sure their contempt for the community is pretty high at the moment. Probably more so about the NFT situation than anything.

Not only that but I don’t see things getting better anytime soon. They seem to have followed the route of devs like Madden EA and Activision. Just keep pushing out new content and spend the bare minimum (if any at all) fixing the stuff that’s already out. Push comes to shove, just put out a sequel and start the process all over.

They should have saved it for april fool's, or even christmas day would have been somewhat more amusing. All the toxic killers and survivors getting a "lump of coal" so to speak. Right after the perfect storm of bugs and crashes on DbD's biggest season of the year? Not a call I would have made.
