Why is MM called "The Shape" instead of Michael Myers?
Let me answer that for the people who havent seen the movies. Basically Michael is named "The Shape" because of the mask he wears, and the how he moved around in the dark. At the end of the credits of Halloween(1978) You will see towards the first end credits Michael was created by Jhon Carpenter. Michael Myers was played by Tony Moran.
So there you have it...

Though i have to say its partially your fault for wording the topic in a rhetorical sense, but its still everyone elses fault for not realizing its a rhetorical question because they didn't bother reading past the title.
