Disconnect Penalty

Id like to know why a penalty is received for a legitimate crash, where you are actually sending me a notice recognizing that I crashed, and asking what I was doing during the crash in order to help fix certain bugs. If your system recognizes that it was legit and sends me an error report in order to gather information, than why in the hell is a penalty incurred?

Why did i pay for a product and a service from you, so that i can just be delayed/kept from playing. I understand the want for a DC penalty system, but honestly, this dev team, if they can even be called that, has developed one of the worst systems i have ever seen. Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy, but hey, those cosmetics are sure on point. I only hope one day that another worthwhile asymmetrical horror game comes out, so i can dump this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ in the trash where it belongs.

Cause there is no difference between forcefully quitting and/or having a network issue. Their system can't tell if it's on purpose or not-- I don't think other systems CAN tell that. There's punishments in most games like this. You just need to figure out how to get a more secure connection or sadly move on before you get a perma ban.

This game is so poorly coded that you have no way of telling whether the crash was "legitimate" or not

Perma ban might be the best thing for me lol, i keep coming back for more and more pain.

Thats just 5 minutes? If you keep crashing so often you should fix the cause of the issue.
I once had issues with my ISP which i couldnt foretell and while i was in a game the game crashed to main menu saying i dont have internet connection. The next day i got banned for 2 days i asked why and they told me "for tinkering with your internet connection".

Just because the game can tell it crashed, doesn't mean it can tell if the crash was legitimately or intentionally caused or not.

For example, don't like the match you're in? Cause a crash to happen. DC penalty avoided.

If you really crashed, by the time you get back in the game, the 5 min penalty will be gone. Not much of a problem there.

If you crash over and over, but insist on playing instead of trying to identify the problem and fix it, then that's on you, mate. Whether it's intentional or not, you're more or less ruining the game for the other 4 players. *Your* problem becomes everyone's. So yeah, the DC penalty is not perfect, but for the most part, it does what it's supposed to. The fact that the game itself shows you a crash report doesn't necessarily mean it was the game's fault in the first place.

Instead of piling up those penalties by betting that you won't crash while playing (cause you don't seem to know the reason), try to identify the problem. The very few instances I crashed with this game was because my video card was dying. Of course, first thing I thought was "It's probably the game's fault", but crash after crash I decided to do a little check-up on my Pc and identified what was really wrong.


TL;DR: It's not the system's fault if you're crashing because of your computer. The match gets ruined not only for you, but for the other 4 players too.

Well when the issue only started after this latest update, ill chalk it up to it being on the client end. Zero problems until then. If there is a known crash issue, the smart thing to do is disable the penalty until there is a fix. We've seen time and time again though how incompetent they are.

Regardless, they implemented a system that punishes the good players in order to get at the bad players. If i was having constant crashes every single day, then yea id say "that's on me" for not looking into it, but this literally started with last patch. Yet they go about business like nothing is wrong.......trust me, i know my post isnt going to change the world, or fix anything with this game, just wanted to get it out there.

It's 2021 and they can't tell if the crash was legitimate or not. Just lazy coding. It seems everything they do is broken and players are like sponge which absorbs all that s.h.i.t.

I don't think it can 'perma' ban but the penalties can rack up super high if you disconnect a lot in a short period of time. Honestly even with the new update the game's pretty stable on my end, and it seems like massive crashing might be more isolated instances then mass problems over a majority of the community just from what I'm seeing on the forums. I'd say reach out to BHVR on tech support if verifying files and other basic tech support tricks don't fix the problem.

I keep getting kicked from the game. Can y'all please turn off the DC penalty until this problem is resolved. I have been locked out of the game for legitimate game crashes for nearly half of the day.
