and even if, rift only gives you back aurics on tier 69, so you won't even get any bonus

Some other games with in game currencies only obtainable with money also gave some of those moneys for free. Games like Fortnite gives them in free battlepass (Rift) and other games like League gives them for wining tournaments or other events.
