How do I set the game to run at 1920x1080 ?
My monitor is 1920x1080 but the game automatically runs at a lower resolution making everything distorted including the menus. I don't understand why they don't even have a basic graphic option such as this but even trying to follow the guides on the internet, it simply doesn't run at a custom resolution of 1920x1080 which is a pretty standard resolution.

There is a config file for that. Look up directory at PCGaming Wiki because I don't remember what it is. You will find instructions in how to do that there too.

Like I have mentioned above. Following the guides on the internet no longer works. So going to:

C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini

does absolutely nothing in terms of custom resolution.

Go to Gameusersettings, and set every resolution to 1920x1080.
That's what i did.

Try the following:

Go to your Steam library -> right click dbd -> properties and then type the follwing into the startoption textbox: -fullscreen

I have already done that. Recently fixed my FPS issue with effects in-game by adding the -DX12 command and I just have the resolution problem left to fix

Tried that despite my game already running at fullscreen and it still doesn't use my native resolution

Literally every single guide and YouTube video relating to this game claiming to do practically anything is almost 100% bad information, sometimes only 80% bad with the other 20% things that don't even do anything.

I'd start by undoing everything those guides told you to do, as well as everything suggested so far in this thread since it's essentially the same silly bad information.

I'd love to know what you think that does.

For the record, these 2 are the only ones that actually do anything, when they are used:

ResolutionSizeX=
ResolutionSizeY=

These are completely, literally 100% ignored, if you're using fullscreenmode=1 which most everyone is using unless they've edited GameUserSettings.ini to set mode =0 or for some bizarre reason are using mode =2 which would be pretty lol

Rather than list off the nearly dozen things to help figure out which of them are causing the problem, if you just copy and paste the contents of your Engine.ini and GameUserSettings.ini in here it'll be quicker.

I deleted the entire WindowsNoEditor folder so that it would recreate the default config after none of the solutions worked:

Change size x to 1920 and size y to 1080. Save changes. That used to work years ago so why wouldnt it work anymore?

This is why I am here in the first place because it simply doesn't work. I don't know from where it pulls the config settings but it ignores the custom resolution I set it to.

Are u sure your monitor resolution is set to 1920 x 1080? Right click on desktop, display settings and under resolution tab make sure its 1920 x 1080.
